I have been using davinci for a looong time and have always loved it even though I have recently switched to premier pro (🏴‍☠️) which I would say is very comparable to davinci.

This is insane how's just adding audio is a pro feature who actually uses capcut now?!!

blud adobe has better features ,and is proffesionally used,davinci is nice but you cant make those crazy transitions and texts similar to premiere pro or after effects

I started on Windows Movie Maker (my gosh I feel old just saying that). But I wanted iMovie. So I got Movavi Video Suite 12, I think, if only because my father found their conversion software and really liked it (apparently more so than Handbrake), so he bought us the whole suite. It was….ok, but to a 12 year old, it was amazing. Because of brand loyalty, I ended up finally buying a modern version in the form of Movavi Video Suite 2020 in 2019. Movavi however was basically a pseudo subscription service. You would receive free updates until the next major revision came out, so I ended up buying version 2021 for another year of updates. Then when 2022 released, I decided to opt into their actual subscription service, if only just for a year since I’d probably have to pay to update again later. Bad idea. Now lots of my projects can’t be opened because my old perpetual versions that don’t match 2022. So I jumped to resolve, which I knew I would eventually. And yeah, it’s amazing software. I still think Movavi has a place in the market for content creators, but they gotta step up their game. Also, as an audio engineer, I find it kinda funny how you are gushing over the most basic of audio mixing features. Wait until you see what Fairlight can really do. Or if you want a really good audio mixing/editing experience, give ProTools Intro a try

Not trying to be a downer here, but for DaVinci Resolve you need to have lots of gigabytes, a powerful GPU, as well as a powerful PC (I think). But if you still want to switch to DaVinci Resolve, go ahead. That's fine with me.

Same here I switched to Davinci resolve. Though it’s gonna take a while to learn it I am much more pleased with the results. I was using CapCut for most of last year the reason I got rid of cap cut because my videos kept on going to the to my primary Drive for some reason, even though I changed all the settings to make sure it went to my other drive, which has more space for some reason it ended up in my primary drive taking up space making my computer run, slow and causing problems to the point I kept on getting a application stating that I’m not able to download this app because I need the free up space even though I’m not downloading it to specific drive. Long story short figure out the problem get rid of CapCut and now I’m just gonna stick with da Vinci resolve. Sorry for this long comment

In my case, i downloaded an older version of capcut where not everything is pro. There's a few reason i dislike Davinci. First of all there are alot of unintenitive things ( i don't know how to type it lmao), i also hate the layout. If anything, i might switch to adobe. But heck you know i won't pay for it.

I consider myself a beginner I edited 3 videos using capcut and I just switched to Davinci and it was pretty smooth to switch from it the aren't many differences between the two that could make you overwhelmed except the fusion tab don't touch that yet and even if you want to maybe you wanna look for guides to make the specific effects you're looking for

I would recommend setting the quantity settings to restrict to 15000kbps which is more than enough for posting online as TH-cam will already compress the video file even more

good switch man davinci also has so many plugins and presets that will save you tons of hours of work

If your file sizes are too large, change your codec, and it should be fine

I used blender in the past and found it very easy. Davinci resolve is insanely hard to learn compared to blender for me, although people say blender is harder to learn.

been using davinci resolve for almost 4 years and its a really great software with a lot of features for free although it can be super laggy at times. But I'd much prefer that over the other free alternatives

man i just paid for capcut pro thinking the watermark would go away but it wont fucking go away its still in there despite me being in pro and the money 100% coming out my pockets i can use every pro feature but the stupid ass watermark wont go away and i cant get a refund either because im on pc how do i fix this shit

I myself have used Capcut over the years, But I truly have been over taken by Devinci resolve. So When I was a beginner editor I used it, it worked fine and I learned a lot from the free features.... Plot twist, now everything costs money, barely any effects, transitions, audios.. like they are getting greedy??? They already have Tiktok. Anyway, Now that they are implementing the watermark I'm out. Devinci is another ball game, it's the real deal 🤝. Rip Capcut 🪦-2025 Me

1.5 capcut is an alternate version that can replace the current capcut. But it's not as it was 🤧

As a editor, I just switched from capcut to Adobe After Effects.

You should use cracked premiere pro u will forget Da Vinci but you will comeback to it only for colour grading

imo as someone who has used davinci for over 3 years it is honestly comparable to something like premier or after effects. Ppl just don't see the potential

I switched last month. Super hard to get out of the easy-editing ui and the good built in features for a computer editing software but I’m glad I don’t have to pay for Pro features that I can do on Resolve.
