Hmm, when you look into history you will see that the early Christians didn’t have any catholic or Protestant doctrine. Only in the 300s AD the trinity was introduced. A lot of catholic doctrine isn’t even based on the Bible. Happy to list resources if you’re interested 😊

I think then the question is, what did the first century believers believe? What is the true message and reason behind the gospel? What is taught in the gospels and acts? These are not teachings from catholics these are teachings from Gods inspired word. Their belief isn't fully based on the entire book of the Bible. Just my 2 cents 😀

I never felt like reading the Bible. I joined a Christian church and began Bible studies and reading my Bible. This occurrence in my life did not last long. It hurt me so much to find out that the God that I loved so much felt I was inferior to men. Ephesians, especially, is demeaning to women as is the tale about Eve. I have never picked up the Bible again and quit going to church. The Bible is for men.

@@chrisjasonmcqueen Thank you for accepting my viewpoint. It is not just Christianity that demeans women as somehow second class citizens. I have researched many major world religions. They are all sexist. I guess it is because they are embedded within patriarchal societies. I decided I can believe in God and Jesus without reading the Bible or belonging to a Christian church. I am content with that. I see God in Nature and Nature accepts me as I am and as an equal.

I believe that when you have this strong presupposition that god exists and that JHWH is the one (father of jesus), you can find the explanation for all atrocities that god commits. If you read the bible with clear mind it's just a book written by primitive people. Written to set some political order, with some non civilized tribal customs, blood sacrifices rituals, justification for killing and genocide and so on.

Hey Chris - well done! I love your thoughtfulness and creativity. As the Holy Spirit guided Paul to say "you know your labour is not in vain, in the Lord". Producing these videos must take HOURS - thank you. Just one comment about 'curses' in Genesis chapter 3. It is absolutely true that sin and death came as a result of Adam and Eve's unfaithfulness to God. However, the only two curses in Genesis 3 were upon the serpent (v.14) and the ground (v.17). I like to use the word 'consequences' to describe what God said to Adam and Eve - as our sins will always produce consequences, even when we repent and seek forgiveness. Keep up the good work, and may God bless your desire to serve Him!

I liked another video of yours and i just happened to see this one. And im just seeing what you say if it matches with all scripture, im not trying to be judgemental just want to have a good discussion! Thx bro. Whilst I agree that we should be holy as God is holy, Gods words say that. And we 'should' stop sin because it brings death and misery to us and others. But we dont become holy by our good works or our ability to not sin. We become righteous, right standing with God, when our iniquities are removed from us by God. Does this line up with all scripture? ‭Romans 4:5-8 KJV‬ [5] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. [6] Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, [7] saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. [8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. ‭Romans 4:16, 23-25 KJV‬ [16] Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, [23] Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; [24] but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; [25] who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. I could go on to many more passages that say such that we are saved only by grace through Jesus. If it seems to contradict warning passages theres a reason. Thats because we 'Should' walk in good works, not sinning is a work. But we dont do that to be saved. We trust in Jesus who was the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world be saved. We stop sin to be usable unto God. Thats why its called discipline. Dying daily. Daily sanctification. Loss of reward for disobedience and rewards for obedience. ‭1 Corinthians 3:1, 11-17 [1] And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. [11] For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [12] Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; [13] every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. [14] If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. [15] If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. [16] Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? [17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy What do you think about the verse you quoted that says 'nor any other thing' can separate us from the love of God? We are other things we cant take ourselves out of Gods hands only he can, which he promises not to do. This actually gives me confidence not to sin, because i know theres a better purpose for my life than just struggling with sin. Sorry i keep going on but this is important to me, brother! 1‭1 John 3:9 KJV‬ [9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Well have you sinned today? I guess we're not born of God? No A born again spirit cant sin one time, period. When Jesus told Nicodemus he must be born again John 3, he was talking about being born from above. A born again believer has 2 natures one invisible permanently sealed by the holy spirit until the day of redemption, the other is flesh and he sins and wars against the spirit. We either yeild to the spirit of God which is permanently resided in our spirit(Holiness), or we yeild to our former nature which is corrupt and sins not done away with til we die physically. Obviously you probably wont change your mind about it. But maybe itll spark some thoughts because i struggled until i realized Christ will never let me go, its not up to me its up to him because i left it in his peirced hands. I still want to be faithful but i dont keep myself, Jesus keeps me.

    • @chrisjasonmcqueen
      @chrisjasonmcqueen 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thanks so much for your exposition! There's a lot of good stuff in here I totally agree with. I think John3 and the spiritual rebirth is the baptism. So when we are baptised we are born into a new life in Christ. However, you can and will still sin. James 1: 14-15: "But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death." 1 John 1:7-9 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." So at the end of the day we still have our sinful nature until we are deemed righteous in the kingdom. There are many examples of Paul writing in his letters, how he has to first finish the race and only then will he receive the crown of righteousness. Thanks again for following and taking the time to comment. God bless!

I dont know much but i can almost guarantee this almighty God, wouldnt want to he worshipped. Just doesn't seem like a characteristic god would have.

But the Bible, Gods word states he wants to be worshiped! Psalm 29:2; Isa 43:21; John 4:23-24,...

@chrisjasonmcqueen yea.. that makes sense right? If the bible says it then it must be true. Did god write the bible or did man?

No atheist actually believes that the universe came from nothing. we just don't know what it came from. Maybe it was God but we're not calling it without evidence.

The thing is, the bible is full of answers to the who, what, why, when and where. 🙃

@@chrisjasonmcqueen we have historical records of the the contents of the Bible being manipulated by its translators and publishers, not to mention the fact that it condemns me for existing.

With a creator you have to still have faith. Faith that he made the universe, us people and animals from nothing. But I believe it's easier to trust a God who created you, has a plan for you and helps you weather the trials of life rather than believe in nothing.🙂

@@chrisjasonmcqueen well you seem to have missed the point of the question. God created the universe from nothing, so its projection when Theists claim Atheists believe the universe came from nothing, The argument is as follows: A=B=C A - God B - Affect - Substance C - Effect - Universe (A) must affect (B) to obtain (C)effect, God must have affected something to obtain the effect i.e. Universe, therefor something existed alongside of God for it to have been affected, or the argument is that the universe was created out of nothing, by your lights. If this is not the case, then EVERYTHING that exists a part of God, which would include, by default evil, which i significantly doubt any Christian will argue for this. As for, "easier to believe in something with no explanation nor evidence" is easier than to believe in "Nothing". Well, ok! fantastic projection, No one believes in nothing, this is simply just rhetoric that is projected onto Atheists from people who fundamentally do not understand the arguments when they are presented. You, like everyone else, are more than welcome to believe in what you want. I am more interested in if that belief is rationally justified. In my 20+ years discussing with Theists, it is clear that presenting logical fallacies take precedence over logic itself. I would be more then glad to discuss this with you further if you wish, please feel free to reach out with a platform suggestion.

I guess the reason people are pushing for 4:3 is because well they are made to work too hard like if you are a upper management white collar employee you are probably putting in more than 12 hours a day on average which could stretch upto 16 hours on tight situations and unlike blue collar workers there is no set work hour contracts for upper management employees

That's so true! Here in Germany we have a cap at 10h a day. Yet as soon as you manage a team, you're not required to track hours but instead need to get your daily work load done. I believe this is a toxic and dangerous route to go down. Eventually your health will suffer.

Great points! W.W.J.D is a nice throwback, and very helpful. Could I see Jesus gossiping at work? Would Jesus split his lunch with the homeless man on the corner?
