Installing Deutsch -style connectors

The SmartLink cable in the SG200 battery monitor kit terminates with 4-pin Deutsch-style connectors. Shipped from the factory, we install one connector fully. On the other end, we pre-crimp on the sockets but leave the connector off, to ease installation of the cable. In this video, you can learn how to install the connector onto the sockets to complete the cable assembly.

Running a Victron Cerbo GX with associated GX 50 display. Does the Balmar smart shunt have CANBUS output? Or can I link the MC-618 data via the bluetooth dongle, and have it recognized by the Cerbo GX's Bluetooth feature? Thank you Chris.
I recently installed the shunt and display on my RV which has two LifeLine L16 AGM batteries, Sterling charger and TriStar Solar charger. My RV previously had a Xantrex LinkLite for 10 years but I finally came to understand why it kept getting out of sync. I also put a shunt and gateway on a webserver UPS I built out of two old AGM Diehard Platinum batteries and a SureSine. The SG200 is a great product for a number of non-marine applications. One thing I really think is missing is a summary screen showing SOC, volts and amps.
I already have a Victron BVM and its related battery shunt installed on my sailboat house bank. I'd like to add the MC618 and the bluetooth dongle. Will I need to install the Balmar smart shunt? If so, can I install it in addition to the existing BVM shunt or will the two be incompatible? Thanks.
Richard, There are no issues installing the SmartShunt in series with the Victron Shunt, but you need to make sure that the SmartShunt is the closest to the battery. We are making impedance measurements, and it won't wok well doing that though another shunt.

The problem I have is the app will not find the mc618. It only sees the shunt, display and gateway. Numerous power cycles and no luck. Would be great if it worked.

@@OldinMariner I have the cable attached and have verified connectivity. I am going to replace the cable and see of it solves the problem.
How is the MC618 connected to the network? I don’t see a smart shunt connector on my regulator so I would like to know how it receives data etc.

If you only want to program the regulator can you connect the bluetooth dongle directly to the regulator?
no because the regulator does not supply voltage to the bluetooth dongle, it can only get it from the shunt
