16-10 Cross Over & Independent/Random Assortment in Meiosis (Cambridge AS A Level Biology, 9700)
มุมมอง 1.1K28 วันที่ผ่านมา
2 important processes in meiosis helps to produce genetically different gametes. 1. 4:50 Cross-over during Prophase 1. When synapsis happens, the homologous chromosomes pair up, causing the chromatids to overlap and allow the exchange of genetic material at the chiasma (point of overlap). This allows for new allele combinations to be made. 2. 9:25 Independent/Random Assortment in Metaphase 2. T...

will you be doing videos for paper 5?
Do u give tuitions 😭🙏 I will be SOO happy if u do
waiting for 17-1 like I’m refreshing tracking info on a package I know is still in China. tysm sir for what u do may god bless u tremendously
thank you! but sir there's chromatography too in this chapter can you pls make a video on it as well and can you pleasee try to upload the remaining A2 chapters before the may/june 2025 session
so cool thats amazing!!
Hi sir I’ve been watching your videos since AS and I have found them very helpful . Do you think that you will upload videos for P5?
I struggle a lot to understand As Biology till I found you. Myself and many of my friends are preparing for As Biology may/june exams coming up and I'll humbly request you to do past papers solving lectures specially may/june session along with the guidelines on how to write the marking points exactly.
yr vedios are amazing i suggest you add proper thumbnail like big educational channels and proper subtopic name so ppl can find it and watch it even if they dont want to watch the whole series
@@Beterbouckshorr thanks for the suggestion but I prefer my own style of thumbnails 🦦
Thanks for everything Mr. Otter ilysm
Is this necessary to know how substrate is responsible for the enzyme production in the case of inducible enzymes?
@@jinwookim1251 yeah, that will be in the lac operon. Lactose (the substrate) is responsible for b-galactosidase (the enzyme) production.
Sir, why is 1 video hidden ?
it's just a draft video. the playlist for this chapter is complete.
Can’t explain how much ur videos help your such an awesome teacher 👍🏻😍
🎉❤u are the best
thank you so much for the videos, please there is one vide which hidden how ca we get it and please need videos for other remaining chapters of A2
it's just a draft video, don't worry about that.
Amazing work sir otter thank you for explaining this concept so well
me starting every new video with sir's " in the PREVIOUS videoo " mwehhehe utube emojiz be so cool 2 😛
apparently i can custom make some? i'm not sure how to do that.
Mr Otter the syllabus mentions 1 explain the terms gene, locus, allele, dominant, recessive, codominant, linkage, test cross, F1, F2, phenotype, genotype, homozygous and heterozygous But you have not explained the terms F1, F2, locus and linkage till now.
locus is loci - position of the gene. linkage is explained in autosomal and sex linkage. 2 parents reproduce to get the F1 offsprings. When F1 offsprings reproduce, it will produce F2 offsprings.
Very well explained, we need such teachers in our college😊❤
is everything covered on this chapter in these 9 vidoes?
i gotta comment i love the PRODUCE MORE ATP!! made my night
if you are an otter teacher are we otter students???🤩
otterly true!
Don't ******* Panic!
never do. or you get digested!
i love your jokes sir. i love how u teach. rly fun, i watch your videos on my tv when im free 😂😂
Sirrrrr please pick up the pace it’s December already 😢. We still need a Chromotography video in photosynthesis and three more chaptersssssss. Which might be very long tooooooooooo.
Sir can you please make the syllabus complete till April cause we have Cambridge exams coming up in May so please it would be a great favor of yours❤
ur such a cool teacher cuz aint no way im understanding literally everything after i heard "bitchslap the heart"😭😭 THANK YOU❤
tysm for this 🙏
gonna be done w photosynthesis today yippie

Your videos are very helpful and I’ve read this physiology before and I knew a good bit but it was explained so well I learnt new things and expanded my knowledge
i swear this guy makes bio so easy
ikrrr
Sir can you please share notes of first 6 chapter i will be very thankful to you
i don't have notes. you'll have to take screenshots and make your own.
@OtterBioTutor, did you do the chi-squared test video?
I haven't. i will try to do that with paper 5.
@@OtterBioTutor can you please speed up? your videos are the best and I need them before my exams in feb 🙏
@sushmii11 lemme just clone myself💀
Ur SOO cool!!!!
i wish lol
Removing of plants cause of pollution😊
i love this channel it makes me so happy to watch these 🤗
