Wonderful video, thank you! Not only were there many women warriors (Lozen of the Apache comes to mind), but women were also the shamen, moreso than the men. Additionally they were spiritual figures like White Buffalo Calf Woman of the Lakota and Changing Woman of the Navajo, not to mention, of course, the significance of Mother Earth among Native cultures. Interesting to note that when the Apache were told by the US government that they could only retain one of their many "religious" ceremonies, they chose to keep the female initiation ceremony. Hopefully times are changing so that the significance of Native cultures can be more fully recognized by a global society of people...thank you so much for contributing your knowledge and wisdom for the greater good. Playing outside as a child plus helping with chores shapes a child’s integrity. Be an example. Greg tell them the stories anyway!

I emptied the night toilet bucket, fed the chickens, took baths in a metal tub in the kitchen filled up with heated water which I got from the well. I got the drinking water from the underground spring a quarter mile away and brought it back home every day. I talked with the nature around me. The rocks and trees and all nature was my friend.
