Why did you not use a thinner width of lead rather than cut some off?
Nice demonstrated video mate, been on a lead welding course and it’s hard to remember everything so this is a good refresher,
Cómo se llama ese material
Lead
Hi what welding set do you use
Minimum 90mm upstand
Face protection pls
Good video have you done or could you do a video of the process for making a back gutter I assume it’s similar but slightly different because you’re gonna have to drop Cheers wayne
I just wondered why you didn’t make that apron deeper on the front so that you can then just tuck it straight into your chase line. I guess ur gonna fit that and then make a separate cover flashing to go over the front of that? Interesting, I’ve never seen it done like that before. I respect the way you are doing your aprons but I personally don’t feel it necessary to weld aprons when a minimal amount of lead material bossed around the corners is sufficient to accept either soakers or lead cover flashings. Nevertheless, nice job and nice little video. Thank you.
Thanks for your comment. The only reason I prefer to do a separate cover flashing is just to allow for a little bit more movement when bossing into the tiles. Nothing annoys me more than the tuck in trying to pull itself out. As for welding and not bossing around the edges. It's to ensure we get plenty of lead around the corner and I feel that it makes a neater job. Thanks
@@jamesextance5546 sure I understand what u mean. One other question since I have been welding lead for many years but still I find it very challenging, what nozzle are you using? And do u set ur bottles at 4 bar? How’s ur welding on the vertical? I find it very difficult. I’m self taught for the most part and can only really pick up tricks from videos like yours. I’m certain I’m doing something wrong but dunno how to improve. Maybe do a course I guess.
nice vid how long does the gas and oxy last on that set up thanks
Thank you. I've only had this new welder for 2 months so unfortunately I can't tell you that one. It still seems pretty full to me though. Cheers

@@Pj-yy2my I got this one from welderswearhouse.com. I probably done around 20-30 aprons so far.
