I live 15 minutes away. Been following it pretty close. If you have facebook there is 2 pages for it. I run the page “ I remember when Century III Mall was nice” and the other page is “Century III Mall memories” <-- someone else runs this page. Pictures of the inside have been posted of the demo.

@@Maddog4x4 Yeah. I saw that they removed the escalators, however, I do not know if they carefully took them out or if they destroyed them, because there's a bit of debris where the escalators used to be, so my guess is that debris is either smashed up escalators, or parts of the structure.

@@Maddog4x4 Do you think that JCPenney will be the first anchor store to be knocked down when demo actually starts on the mall itself after the parking garage is done?

The upstairs was still open at that time. They were selling tables by the entrance to the mall. So I was able to take video of it.

@@RM-yf3tf about how far of the road is it? I check it out in the fall. I love old little cemeteries like that. What did you do for it when you were in Eagle Scouts

​@Maddog4x4 it's just right of the water tower in the beginning of the clip in the group of trees. I cleared a bunch of brush and reset a bunch of old headstones

I walked through a little bit of the cemetery yesterday.

People don’t go to church like they use to. Church needed $4million to bring it up to date. There’s a church on every corner.

The town is pretty much abandoned and all the buildings are in really bad shape. Those buildings floors were all collapsed into the basement.

Thanks for the reply. I would like to find out who owns it now. I have been going through my old friend, and he was a Dillinger . His name was Mr Wendell J dillinger, and he was the owner and president of the M&H RR here in south central pa. He has a lot of years of his family tree history. He has a lot of information about Mr Samuel Dillinger. I will be putting a Wendell dillinger museum together here at the Middletown and Hummelstown railroad and library so. I am interested in finding out if the property is available or not and who the owners of it are now. If you can help, that would be great. That's again. In the mid 80’s asbestos was banned. In 1997 the mall was renovated and during that time 90% of the asbestos had to be removed from the public areas. Any asbestos that is left is in the ceiling or boiler room. There’s more asbestos in old homes and in schools that never been renovated then in that mall. If you live in old home look at wires going into the electrical box. I bet some of them have asbestos on them.

I was up the street getting ready to fly my drone when I saw smoke coming over the trees. Got in my truck and raced over to see what was going on

We were there withon 10 minutes of the call coming in with heavy traffic during mid rush hour

I was right up the hill setting up my drone to fly when I saw a pillow of smoke. It didn’t look right to me so I went down to see what it was. Found nice spot to sit and fly my drone. I was there at least 3 minutes before the first truck showed up. Couple of cops were there trying to kick the door in and save some of the animals 90% of them didn’t make it.

It was me. I was behind the clock tower building.

@@Maddog4x4 Yeah, there was a point I took a look and was so surprised of how stable the drone was.
