It’s 2024 and my local Kubota dealer is selling this belt for 90$! I see belts on Amazon for 30 bucks. Anyone have any thoughts on knock off belts vs Kubota made?

Lifesaver!! For 4.6 is the same thing except you dont have to take off the cover. Just the ecm bracket. So even easier.

Learn to change these belts yourself. Definitely need a lift or good jack. I tried myself but got frustrated and just ran out of free time. I pinched the drive belt at one point so I needed a new one ($31) and I already had purchased the new deck belt ($150). I dropped off at my local Kubota dealer and just picked it up today. Here you go….New drive belt $31, shop supplies $31.39, Labor $418.50 for a grand total of $528.04‼️ For a company that does this weekly and has lifts I think this is %#%# highway robbery. I have a 2018 Kommander 48” z121s.

the brake wear indicator that metal strip you called a spring clip goes on inside of caliper it was on that side with old pads you took off

Good video. I ended up taking the tensioner pulleys off so I could have room to run the belt above the fan blades then I managed to put it all back together. I can't believe Kubota designed it that way. Although I've used this mower hard for years and I've only had to replace (before this belt) was the spindle wheels but that was a warranty claim so I can't complain too much.

Thanks for that. 1) It is also good to grease the ears of the new brake pads. 2) I recommend pulling out and inspecting the caliper pins. They need to slide freely in the bore. They are about $12 a pair to replace, but may be fine to clean, grease, and reuse.

Just a note, you need to grease the friction clip points. You should not grease the back of the pad. You do not want that slipping you want to ends where pad clips to be greased.

The problem for me is the pin is stuck lol

For anyone wondering the first 9 minutes of this video is useless. If you’re getting a glow plug code pull them all and replace them.

Im 65 and I never miss the run, chicken livers and shrimp is my bait for the white bass and stripers ..too bad they are full of PCBs and not good for eating

Must be an early 04 engine or left over. I believe it was 04 when they switched to the 3v. Be happy you didn't end up with one of them piles of junk. Anyway, fixin' to do my #4 as well, thanks for the look.

Ive come to the conclusion that im just too stupid, i just built a small shed 15 ×20 to be exact and used round posts to frame it. I measured like a mad man and used every video of how to square a layout for a building and it turned out to be a complete fuck up. The shed is done and it doesn't leak but its not evem close to being square. Luckily its just a farm shed that no one will see really so thats good. I just ha e never felt more ignorant and foolish about myself than building that shed. Im enveous of guys like yourself who can calculate this stuff so easily. I feel stupid writing this comment😂

I don’t keep the ball in the hitch when not in use. The ball is exposed beneath the truck and gets coated with dust, dirt, mud, whatever. I cut a wooden block that just fits into the hitch when I’m not towing.
