Brian Eno Live at the Holland Festival - 1999-06-20
This is a recording of Brian Eno playing at the Holland Festival in Paradiso, Amsterdam, with the Metropole Orkest, directed by Dick Bakker, 1999-06-20. Here, he plays songs from the Shutov Assembly, and a couple others from various albums. This recording is the FM radio broadcast. It's not the highest quality, but there's nothing i can do about that. Sorry. Tracklist: 1 Lanzarote 2 Saint Tom 3...
American Football Live at The Fireside Bowl, April 3rd 1999
Not much is known about this concert. The source the recording was found from has the concert listed as occurring on 1998, 1-17, but this is not true, as the concert actually occurred on 1999, 4-3. This is the only known recording of american football live (before the reunion), besides, the other show at the firebowl that ACTUALLY occurred on January 17th, 1998. There is no video. The quality i...

Goodbye Hope being the second song he played is CRAZY. Phil I can't cry this early in the album!!
so warm...
For once youtube recommended me something amazing
This means so much to me
I randomly got this in my recommends after having no clue what it is and HOLY SHITTTT!
Like, no idea who Phil is? I hope it introduced you to his world! :)
@@lmanproductions2602 im slowly but surely getting imto his music, hes amazing!
Might be the best video I have ever seen in my life omg
its crazy to see the 90s start with smells like teen spirit and end with never meant. To me the late 90s seems so different from the early 90s
Is this an orchestra of cats walking on keyboards?
Playlist?❤
Quiet Quiet excellent I must say… Carry on!
I had the best nap in a while listening to this set...
woahthis is the best thing ever
This is wonderful.
does anyone know what the introduction says?
He basically just introduces Phil. In english thats something along the lines of "The next thing I should have said was 'ladies and gentlemen'. Uhhh, I just have to say welcome and so on... yet another new place to arrange a concert, which means that it's a somewhat unfamiliar thing we have going on today, but it should be exciting. I'm sure some of you have already met the lovely little gentleman on my right and it can't be anything but enjoyable so I hope you have a great night"
found it
what happened to after n. young! I really wish that made it on an album
I believe it's on Live in Japan?
XXX
This is really incredible
"I'm a little bit sick. So I'm just gonna take it really easy." He then proceeds to give the performance of a lifetime.
what song?

Before TooYoob, this was my most prized live recording on CD-R. I'm astonished Eno never commerciallly released it (warts and all) ....
Wow
Yeah!!!!!!!! Great!!!!! Very great!!
16:43 Final sunset. BTW, I wonder if Eno and Jacob Collier could work together? And, if so, what would result?
I love his sound, long long time
Absolutely brilliant!
Would love a download link for this
I hate it to miss a great concert ! Thank you , love it ! 😃
An Ending & Triennale are gorgeous in spite of Eno defining himself as a non- musician
It's very interesting to hear Eno's electronic music interpreted by a traditional orchestra, and it's surprising how close they got... Anyway, this was put out on CD in December 2020 as "Brian Eno with Metropole Orkest: Amsterdam Festival 1999" for those who wish to own it on physical media. Same track list, same FM radio source. I bought it and there are no obvious sound quality issues. Eno was involved in - and present at - these concerts, so it's not just a random orchestra having a pop at interpreting some Eno. Eno's comments on the project made me chuckle: (copy-paste) _Talking to Mojo magazine in 1998, Eno explained that The Shutov Assembly tracks "were originally proposals for orchestral pieces; what I wanted to do was make them, using my normal tricks and devices, and then present them to an orchestra and ask them to try and copy them accurately - so if this sound goes "dnnngeeeee", you might need to have a damped tubular bell and a violin player working together to make that one sound. I thought it would be an interesting way to use an orchestra, to force it to use its instruments in a different way."_ "dnnngeeeee" :) Discogs calls the CD an "unofficial release" but doesn't go so far as to block it for being a bootleg, so make of that what you will. At the time of writing it's commonly available for about a tenner from BezosCorp and other sources.
Thank you for that info including Eno's remarks. Very cool and well get right on finding a copy.
20/06/1999. 20th June, 1999.
The FM radio quality fits this recording so well
Amazing stuff. I had no idea that this stuff was being done live. It’s incredible to hear it done in a live setting and with real instruments.
Wow An Ending live recording! So special to hear
I love the guy shouting out just after never meant "that's amazing!" So cool 😎✌️
Thank you
50:52 is something magnificent
This recording sounds so warm. I love it!
Dat zal een Paradijselijk avondje zijn geweest. An ending a la flute. Grazie.
Anyone know what is Brian actually playing here gear wise?

Whoever had the foresight to record this back in the day thanks so much, you're a legend 😃👍✌
"i think pretty much now i just have songs that only i know" *plays silent night*
