How wonderful to hear from Meg. She sure has been a committed member of the Marin Symphony family for a long time. I remember her coaching me in the string sections of MSYO and the San Rafael High School orchestra back in the day. The excellent quality of the Marin Symphony youth programs are thanks in part to devoted coaches like Meg!

Andy being a ringer for SFSYO was not too far from when the UC Davis Symphony also hired Andy as a ringer (maybe around 1990?). I had known of Andy from high school, where he played electric bass in the jazz band, though he was a few years ahead of me and I don't think he ever knew me from that time.

it's been an honor to have studied a few years with Andy. My heart goes out to you on the unfortunate loss of your father. God bless!

Happy New Year 2021 , nice stories , I learned piano in the conservatory when I was 20 yo just to know how to read and write scores , I stayed in my private lessons about only 1 year , and I left after that to my university studies which are French Literature and phonetic ... I would like to compose seriously and I did some good trials but I get back later in 2013 til now <3 Good Luck
