Thanks for your recap/comments chapter by chapter. This video made reading the book better. While reading it I missed some things that you noticed and connected. I really enjoyed reading the chapter, and then watching your video to see what you thought of each part.

I was looking at doing a re read of this book before I got back into the series ( I read this book when it came out!) but I did not want to. Then I found this! Thank you. It was great!

I listened all the way to the end of the video and now I'm disappointed that you didn't mention the Shardfork!!! That was quite possibly my favorite part of the entire book!

Lift is just one of my favorite characters. I don't hate her overuse of awesomeness, its just the way she thinks of herself and her powers. In my mind awesomeness just changed to stormlight because I knew that was the connection. Context really matters to me, not just the words used. Side note: you really should have read Warbreaker before Words of Radiance because it seems to me that you haven't yet. (not necessary but it would have made some things much more clear)

This was fun. Listening to you theorize was great. Renarin the assassin was one I had never heard before. Gave me good laugh.

Loving the reaction. I'll be watching your Dune reactions too, I've read and reread that series more times than any other. The question I have though is which movie will you be watching, the 80s theatrical release or the 00s Sci-fi miniseries? If you haven't seen it, definitely check out the miniseries, it's the best adaptation so far.

Hi again, I enjoyed this review. To give a bit of context to Edgedancer, while it is not considered essential to read before Oathbringer I definitely think it is worth it. Many people who disliked Lift after her interlude in Words of Radiance felt more positively about her after having read Edgedancer in addition to the fact that this book gives more context to a couple things that happen in Oathbringer. Now on to the more interesting things: I don't know how much you remember the epigraphs from Words of Radiance, but the epigraphs from part 3 are from the in-world book Words of Radiance, most of these give a brief summary of what the Knights Radiant orders were like but a couple of the epigraphs are a bit more confusing at first like the Chapter 41 epigraph: ""This act of great villainy went beyond the impudence which had hitherto been ascribed to the orders; as the fighting was particularly intense at the time, many attributed this act to a sense of inherent betrayal; and after they withdrew, about two thousand made assault upon them, destroying much of the membership; but this was only nine of the ten, as one said they would not abandon their arms and flee, but instead entertained great subterfuge at the expense of the other nine."" This is of course talking about the Recreance when the Radiants abandoned their oaths and killed their spren. However it also says that only 9 of the orders did so while 1 of them didn't abandon their oaths and instead went into hiding. As you could probably figure out at this point, it was the Skybreakers who went into hiding and have been operating in secret for a very long time. The other really interesting thing that we get in this book is the reveal of Arclo and the Sleepless. You made a great prediction when you said you expect them to show in the main series at some point. Fortunately you don't have to wait since they have already been seen in the main series. If you pay close attention there are several scenes where a cremling is seen keeping an eye on our main characters. For example in Words of Radiance when Shallan visits Mraize and the Ghostbloods for the first time in their secret base, Mraize shoots a cremling with his blowgun. I have no idea what role they will play in the series, but for right now they are hiding and observing. Additional fun fact: the Sleepless are the ones who "write" the cover synopsis for each book. Looking forward to your thoughts on Oathbringer!

I'm very curious about Lift's past. So very little is revealed to us, but the hints point to much. Can't say much more at this time.
