My life of flying around America’s great cities on electronic scooters finally caught up with me. I broke my poor little elby-bone after bailing at full speed on the street in Reno. We had been riding them all weekend with minimal casualties, but on the last scoot of the weekend, someone on the sidewalk called out to us. I of course, took one of my hands of the bars to shoot them a quick “What’s up!” It was over in an instant. I crashed so hard, one of the other people riding with me locked up the breaks and went over the handlebars. As for the moon not rotating….I was 35! My kids were getting into space so I watch all of Cosmos: A Space Time Odessey with Neil deGrasse Tyson on my commuter bus. When he dropped that lil’ nugget, I audibly gasped. Not sure why, but I had never really thought about it. I was shook. I mean, I had had listen to Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon at least 38 times…

@@USACEPortland LOL!!!! Boys and toys - it never fails. Bummer, but at least you waited until the end of the trip. Yeah, I dont know about now, but they never taught much about the moon back when I was in school. I mean, we landed on it and all, but... its one of those odd facts you dont really know unless you are an astronomy geek.

Each of our facilities are unique, but some of the things you can do on a visit are boating, swimming, camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting. Our Rangers offer interpretive programs that help folks better understand the ecosystem around our projects and some of our welcome centers have museums. We even have historical landmarks at some of our parks. You should TOTALLY visit all 402 of our lakes and river projects. It would be a pretty epic road trip!
