You have to create a 1 foot gap so fish and other wildlife can swim up or down the rivers and creeks. You cannot just block everything with rocks.

Im so envious of your garden, the vegetables are healthy. Good thing is you are near the river so there's no problem during the summer you got a lot of water for your plants. My location is in the highlands far from the river, last summer our well went dry so i need to get water from a spring 600 meters far hehe!
