Junpeis early game isn’t even bad as soon as when he gets Torrent Shot hes the Highest Dps by far. People just kinda assume he’s supposed to be the Crits Master the moment you unlock his Characteristic and forget to pay attention to the absurd damage he does even without Crits. Also fun fact he has the strongest (non Mc) Magic Theurgy in the game. (Theurgies as a reminder scale off of STR and MAG) Blizzard Edge has 180 power and 80% Freeze. Cyclone Arrow has 220 power. Divine Retribution has 230 power. Hound of Hades has 220 power Electric Onslaught has 200 power 80% Shock. Blade of Execution has 350 (though it’s actually weak due to no Boosts). Junpeis Blaze of Life is a whopping 450 power meaning unlike Mitsuru he can Oneshot the Reaper with this Theurgy (though he prefers his first Theurgy because Crit Amp is busted). About Koro Getsu-ei (lvl 39) on full moon bosses is only 8% weaker than Brave Blade. Crits also count for his Theurgy Condition as well. Revolution is a +15% Crit with Power Power Howling in a very Phys dominant game. Dogs the absolute best Physical team support.

Best thing about Nocturne was that thanks to Dante (the origin of Featuring Dante from DMC series meme), SMT got kickstarted to the West because DMC was the talk of the town in the PS2 era.

Maybe Im being biased but Ken's second Theurgy is F*ckin Busted and probably one of the best theurgies gameplay wise which is why he is an A tier for me A W Tier list nonetheless 🔥🔥

First playthrough I never used Junpei because his theurgy personality where he gains theurgy by doing crits felt mid af to me. Until I realized his characteristic trait where it boosts his crit is INSANE. Low-key buffs his crit chance to insane levels where he'll just crit 75% of the time. Absolutely melts everyone
