I was recently diagnosed with skin cancer, we are waiting for lab to come back as to what type it is. I'm going to have to undergo this surgery myself and I kept hearing the nurse talk about Mohs, but it wasn't until I found this surgery that I now feel confident that they will make it look amazing after they remove all bad tissue

I was diagnosed with a deadly cancer on my mouth that left a gaping hole extending down into my lip. At Kaiser Vacaville, Dr.Omlin performed the MOHS surgery reconstruction surgery. He has amazing God-given skills and abilities. I could have had a deformed lip without Dr. Omlin's technique. As a result of his work, I only have a tiny scar, barely visible. Under Dr.Omlin's care, he and his staff were kind, caring, and attentive. He went above and beyond to provide me with the best care possible. I thank God for putting me under his care, and to Him be the glory! My family and I are forever grateful for Dr. Omlin and his fantastic care. - Katherine Freeman

Simply put, my life would have never been the same if it were not for Dr. Kenny Omlin. He has performed numerous Mohs surgeries all over my body at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vacaville, CA. He saved my hand from probably not being able to be used normally. As an avid tennis player, it would have been sad if I had never been able to grip a tennis racquet again. My most recent procedure was in a very prominent position, of being dead center, on the middle of my nose. Instead of having a hole or an indention there, my nose now looks great! There are not many people on this earth who get to help thousands of people’s lives, for such important causes, while at the same time being such an incredibly nice, friendly, and caring person. Because of Dr. Omlin’s fabulous expertise, the results of my procedures have left me with either minimal or no scarring whatsoever. My wife and I call Dr. Omlin the “Master Magician.” Thank you, Dr.Omlin, for what you have meant in my life and for those reading this, consider yourself an extremely fortunate person if you ever have Dr. Omlin as your Mohs surgeon. Those whom have already had Dr. Omlin, you already know

I had Mohs surgery performed on my nose to remove Basal Cell skin cancer, and Dr. Omiln did a magnificent job! The surgery itself went wonderfully, and the healing process went PERFECT! People often don't believe me when I say my entire nose has basically been reconstructed, but I just tell them I had the best surgeon. During the procedure, him and his entire staff made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. I recommend him to everyone seeking treatment! Thank you, Dr. Omiln.

Seems like a flawed procedure. It would be best to determine the real size of the tumor completely beforehand, since the surgery can spread cancer cells through the body and cause the cancer to metastasize.

I won’t bother you much Because you saved me. I did this in your name 100 k I think we need to post this. About 3 months ago my son s friend was tragedy injured and paralyzed in a snow boarding accident. He is a student at Vintage They called my dad, Rick Robben, who owns Rick Robben Construction. They needed a 400 SF addition and a new bathroom to accommodate their sons needs With Rick that day were my Husband Marquis Thompson and Rick s close friend Ryan Cole. Both superintends. Rick became emotional and looked the family in the eye. He said, I want to do this for free. It will not cost you a dime I asked my dad, why would you do that ? He said, first it’s my grandson’s friend. This gift is a good example of giving. Second, he too had a health issue . During this project my dad received a clean bill of health. I hope everyone who reads this gives something today. I love my dad. Toughest man I know and the most giving. Napa should be proud of him The project is now complete. My son s friend will be home next week

I recently had Mohs surgery in Vacaville with Dr. Kenny Omlin or as I call him Dr. McHottie at the Kaiser facility. I had the surgery on the bridge of my nose. I was a little nervous. Dr Omlin and his team did everything to make me comfortable and at ease. The procedure went very smoothly and quickly and he got it all the first go around. I did tell him about another spot on my temple that was a bit concerning and he took care of that too.... I’m so grateful for for this doctor and his teams professionalism and kindness. He even did follow up phone calls to see how I was doing...If I ever have to do this again, I would not want anyone else but Dr. Omlin. thank you Dr McHottie and thank you to your team for taking such good care of me....

Informative video but I’d like to know exactly what about a bandage is a biohazard. Face masks are for protecting the operating field and possibly the OR personnel, but are demonstrably useless for pathogen protection. Your discarded bandage and your breath are not deadly, as is implied. This is nonsense.

I had Mohs surgery on my cheek this morning, April 9, 2024 at 8:30 AM. This is the second time I’ve had Mohs surgery, the first time was in 2015 when it was above my eye, and that was basal cell carcinoma. This time it was squamous cell. Now I knew what to expect this time around, however the dermatologist did one cut and then put more sutures to close the wound and he said something about taking the surrounding skin and folding it over for reconstruction. I have the biggest bandage I’ve ever had on my face. I watch this video which I found extremely informative. And I want to commend the people who put this together to say thank you.

This video is extremely well done and an excellent source of information for those having Mohs surgery. I've watched it several times as Dr. Kenny Omlin has performed surgery on me many times with excellent results. I am a 6-year bilateral lung transplant recipient. I am still alive and doing well due to the incredibly attentive care and exception surgical expertise of Dr. Omlin and his team at Vacaville Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Omlin is absolutely a vital part of my post-transplant care team. Skin cancer, specifically squamous cell, is the number one cause of death in transplant recipients. Close monitoring and ongoing care after transplant for this type of cancer is critical to our survival. My struggle with repeated basal and squamous cell cancer started about 5.5 years ago. Dr. Omlin has gone above and beyond to see me promptly and schedule me for surgery when I have skin lesions develop due to immune suppressive drugs I must take to combat possible rejection of my donor lungs. I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Omlin for his amazing care, positive attitude and his stellar surgical skills. All of have kept me going over the years. Dr. Omlin has been an integral partner in keeping me alive. My family and I consider ourselves extremely fortunate that I am under his care, and we are forever grateful for is kindness and expertise.
