Yes indeed we are spiritual beings and the physical existence is mere temporary

If we read verse 28 of Surah Hud in the Quran, we will find that Prophet Nuh (Noah, peace be upon him) said-although his name is not mentioned in this verse, we understand it from previous references: "O my people, tell me, if I am upon a clear proof from my Lord, and He has bestowed upon me a mercy from Himself…" Here, "mercy" (rahmat) is interpreted as prophethood. We will understand this verse through established knowledge and divine guidance. The "clear proof" (roshan daleel) refers to Tawheed (the Oneness of God), and "mercy" (rahmat) signifies prophethood. Only by interpreting the verse this way can we grasp its essence. We must understand the Quran using a Quran-plus-mind approach. Similarly, verse 27 of Surah Al-Hajj cannot be comprehended without applying practical wisdom. We must also acknowledge that the verses of the Quran have both a real and a relative aspect. The relative meaning is periodic and needs to be updated over time. Unfortunately, no scholar in the Islamic world has attempted to understand this concept. This is why the existing translations of the Quran do not make sense to non-Muslims, and even scientifically-minded Muslim scholars struggle to grasp its depth and practicality. The main reason for the current turmoil in the Islamic world is the failure to explain the Quran in a way that aligns with the civilized and digitalized era.
