Abdominal exam in less than 10 minutes th-cam.com/video/yKAbuHC-I-w/w-d-xo.html I agree, some say auscultate before palpation. However in practice I don't think it really matters....
In 1899, only 4 years after the discovery of roentgen rays, Williams challenged the accuracy of cardiac percussion, showing that many patients with moderately large hearts (autopsy weight of 350 to 500 grams) had normal findings during cardiac percussion. Cardiac percussion suffered another setback in 1907, when Moritz published the composite outlines of cardiac dullness according to various authorities, showing that these authorities not only disagreed with each other but also with the true roentgenographic outline. By the 1930s many leading clinicians began to regard percussion of the heart as unreliable and often inaccurate.
After I watched it, I realized this was from a chiropractic school. 1 minute and 4 seconds. Yeah, that's about how good their education is too! Scary. Zero explanation of the cranial nerves
Karen, by the time we reach the physical examination classes in the curriculum we have already had several classes in which the cranial nerves are studied extensively. We do not need to watch TH-cam videos for further explanation. I can send you notes if you’re still having trouble.
Hi, I know running complete anatomy on a 12.9 iPad would be the best experience you can get, but I’m wondering do you think running it on the 10.5 iPad would it result in a similar experience ? Thank you
Dr. Gibbon performed a work related physical examination on me in September of 2014. She listened to my heart in a sitting and prone position. After listening to my lungs, she checked my ears, eyes and throat. Blood pressure was measured in both arms using a wall mounted mercury guage. She asked me to hold my breath while she placed her stethoscope on both sides of my neck. Reflexes in my arms and legs were checked. She also felt the pulses in my feet. The examination lasted about twenty minutes.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
