I'm starting to think the true reason behind a lot of homelessness is too many people and not enough homes,sure,drugs, mental illness and financial situations are a big contributor,but those things are always acknowledged when I never hear anyone mention the over populated areas with not enough homes available.

The people going to the Christmas market aren't lapping it up in luxury. They're just normal people, some of them poor, who want some kind of break from the drudgery of day-to-day existence. It isn't that special: it's just mulled wine and roasted nuts with a few lights. It's actually pretty grim when compared with Christmases in decades past. It isn't the fault of the market or the people that some people are homeless. Obviously, seeing homeless people around depresses people - nobody seems happy in your video (even the dancing man seems medicated). Having a depressing environment not only depresses people but also depresses consumer demand, which leads to a weaker economy and MORE homeless people.

No one should be homeless and the government have enough money to accommodate homeless but they would rather claim ridiculous amounts of expenses, and high wages, and tendering contracts to family and friends so that they can funnel it into their pockets.
