If you ever thought about it Makima has been a devil on this earth for so long, maybe she had friends and lost them because they grew older and passed and it looped over and over and maybe that's how she became a sociopath like this. That's what this edit makes me think about, maybe Makima was a good devil but after all her old friends passed she snapped.
