Fixing up an old Raleigh Stow-Away bike

My friend had an unwanted Raleigh Stow-Away frame in his garage. Rather than chuck it out, I wanted to give it a new lease of life! Spine Challenger 2020 (Ben & Kyle from Ely Runners)
มุมมอง 3.3K4 ปีที่แล้ว
108 mile foot race along the Pennine Way in Northern England, from Edale in the Peak District to Hawes in Yorkshire. This is a kind of vlog of our experience of it in 2020 when there was nothing short of biblical rain and wind (as expected for January in the English hills and mountains!)
Thanks for sharing! Who were the event organisers? Looks like a great route
Hey @g-mand9493, it’s by Beyond Marathon and Cockbain Events. Have a look at peakdistrict100.co.uk/ 👍
Brambles sure are fun! 😅 Well done both 👍🏻 I grew up in Bakewell so I recognised a lot of the place names. We used to say Monny-ash, rather than Moany-ash, so it made me chuckle to hear your version of it 😁👍🏻 Keep up the good work!
Cheers @markg99! Yeah sorry about our accents, we’re southerners haha! Jealous you grew up in the peaks, would love to live there
Excellent job 👌 Thanks again for letting me tag along for that rather long 9 hour marathon overnight 😂
Cheers Adam! We were glad to have your company. Such a long night!
Funny to see the cow chasing you!! 5:12 😂😂
Very well edited!!!
Great video Ben, very few out there like this.👏🏼

Great channel! Keep up the great work! Why aren’t you using Promosm?! You should use it to promote your videos and grow your channel.
Loved the round-up of injuries at the end!! Well done on finishing after your buddy had to pull out.
Thanks @Shaznay999! All the best for your own adventures!
Respect great achievement and excellent video. What did you guys use the OMM front pouch for. 👍
Cheers Richard! I think I had my map, gps unit, phone and some food in there. It had a waterproof map section which was handy!
I didnt even watch it i just likes :D
Yay :) good
Thanks Ben, nicely put together and well done for sticking it out. OHopefully me on the start line 8.1.21. Would have liked a short kit review!
Cheers James! We did put together a blog post at runninghometonowhere.wordpress.com, which has some info, but you're right I should've gone over the kit in the video! It was getting long enough as it was though!! Good luck in January, you'll love it!!
Great video! I scared myself silly doing just 12 miles on kinder scout in daylight last year, so this is highly impressive!
Haha, thank you! It was tough, Kinder can be very kind or very unforgiving can't it?! Glad you enjoyed the vid
