This lesson introduces colors, including red (rojo), yellow (amarillo), purple (morado), white (blanco), black (negro), green (verde), orange (naranja), pink (rosa), blue (azul), brown (marrón) and gray (gris). We also learn “¿Cuál es tu color favorito?” And “Mi color favorito es .” The song Veo Veo is taught, which is like the game I Spy in English.

We learned the words in lesson one of the textbook. El perro, la bicicleta, el parque, la casa, la escuela, va, juega, a, en, con and a pie. Please don’t worry if you don’t have the book (I realize I referred to the book quite a bit in the video-those are just some instructions for those that do have the book). You can still practice the words at home without the book!

This week we started with talking about different languages and why we’re learning Spanish. Then we learned and practiced some introductions. ¿Cómo te llamas? (What is your name?) and ¿Cómo estás? (How are you?), as well as how to answer those questions.
