Hello,
My name is Brian and I started my vegan journey in 2016 after being a Vegetarian. I realized that giving up dairy and eggs was not as hard as I thought.
During my hiking adventures, I learned finding cruelty free gear can be a difficult task. I made this channel to share some of my knowledge I have gained about vegan and cruelty free gear. I also wanted to share all of these beautiful views with you and what you might expect should you try these hikes! I hike all over the country and spend most of my time in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
One thing to note: Sometimes gear that is not cruelty free can sneak by. I have found this happens especially when companies have outsourced a lot of their manufacturing. It is always best to be as thorough as possible in our search for the best gear, but in the end we can only do our best to be cruelty free.
Please feel free to give feedback and enjoy! I hope you find this channel interesting and informative but also fun:)

Mount Moriah | New Hampshire 48 | Fall Hike | White Mountains
We completed this hike on 11/8/2024. I was nervous about this hike and I am sure you can see why after watching the video haha. This was a memorable one for sure and probably the most memorable for me out of the numerous hikes I have done in the White Mountains. Stony Brook Trail is a gradual and beautiful hike in the way up tp Moriah Summit. We completed a little over 10 miles and 3,200 feet of elevation in about 5:30. Happy to share it with all of you!

มุมมอง 75หลายเดือนก่อน
I completed this hike solo on 10/25/24. I had a bit of trouble finding the correct route up to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain and this slowed me down a bit. The Machinery Access Trail may be the best route up and down, just keep in mind that there will be a lot of loose rock. I do not know if this is an accessible route during the winter months. This hike is very doable for most, just keep in mi...
Saddleback Mountain and The Horn | New England 67 | Maine | Fall Hike |
มุมมอง 61หลายเดือนก่อน
We completed this hike on 10/20/24 on a windy but beautiful day! One thing to note about this hike is the amount of prominence and distance between Saddleback and the Horn. You will do a fair amount of work in 7-8 miles but it will be well worth it if the weather is good! Thank you for checking out the video and good luck out there! #saddleback #Thehorn #hiking #veganathlete #newenglandmountain...

มุมมอง 582 หลายเดือนก่อน
This this week we were back at it in Carrabassett Valley, Maine. The weather was not as good as we had hoped, but towards the end of the hike, we did get some clearing and some good views. In all, Mount Redington is a beautiful hike, even though there aren’t many views at the top due to all the trees. In all, we did a little over 11 miles and about 2000 feet of elevation in four hours. it is ...

Hello Again, I made an extra long video to make up for the lapse in time since the last video. So many things have been going on, but I still am finding time to get out there! For this video, we take you back to Baxter State Park in Beautiful Maine! We camped for 3 nights and chose the best day (which happened to be the first morning) to hike up Cathedral to Baxter Peak. This is an absolutely s...
Wildcats D-A | New Hampshire 48 | Winter Hike | White Mountains

We completed this hike on 03/18/24. This was my second round of the Wildcats and I must say, I do enjoy this hike. The view of Washington and the Carters is quite awesome. I do wish I had put my snowshoes on a little sooner than I had, but part of hiking is the learning experience. In all, this one was about 9 miles (6.5 in snowshoes) with 2,900 feet of elevation and we completed it in a little...

I have faced a bit of a hiatus due to the extreme weather conditions this winter in the White Mountains. Patience has finally paid off, and I was able to join some hiking friends to complete the New Hampshire 48 on this challenging hike. We started at the Appalachia Trailhead on 12/31/23. I did want to finish my first time through the 48 in 2023 so I was very happy this day worked out for us. W...

I will start by saying I took this hike too lightly after completing the Zealand Bonds Traverse and a lesson was learned. We started by dropping a car off at Gunstock and driving to the Mount Major Trailhead to start. The eastern side of the Belknaps is a lot of fun and it seems like you are finding your way to a new peak every 30 minutes. The trek from the east side of the range to the west si...
Old Speck | Grafton Notch | Maine 14 | Fall Hike | Maine White Mountains
มุมมอง 90ปีที่แล้ว
This hike was completed on November, 11 2023. We parked at the AT trailhead to Old Speck in Grafton Notch. We chose to take the Eyebrow Trail up and connect to the AT as we heard the Eyebrow can be fun with ladders and cables. The Eyebrow section is a fun change of pace and could be dangerous if icy or wet. There are some beautiful views at the end of the Eyebrow trail as shown in the video. I ...
Zealand Bonds Traverse | New Hampshire 48 | Fall Hike | White Mountains
มุมมอง 146ปีที่แล้ว
I completed this hike on 11/04/2023. My goal was to complete the Zealand Bonds Traverse before mid-November as Zealand Road closes due to weather and makes this traverse that much more difficult with added distance. I met a friend at Lincoln woods at 5am and parked my car there. We drove the 30 minutes to Zealand Road to start at the Zealand trailhead. Let me first say that this hike is not for...

Congrats! You'll both definitely remember this hike!
The unmaintained road to the parking lot is definitely sketchy.
@@RhodySeth Man was it ever! I’m still amazed someone got a Toyota Corolla all the way down there.
Cool hike!
@@mainemountainman3743 Appreciate it! I did thoroughly enjoy the area and the hike.
Appreciate the video of the climb down the Caps.
It’s a wonderful time, weather permitting.
That looks scary but I kind of want to do it actually😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
A rope helps coming down Lions head. You can just self belay with the rope around a tree. Safer and faster.
I had that map back in college! I wish I still had it.
It has been a great bird’s eye view for me on so many of these hikes!
Heading up there to do this hike in October. Can’t wait, looks awesome!
@@bryannaweigel9581 Awesome. Enjoy!! I recommend the Eyebrow.
This made me wonder if I've filmed hikes up all 48 peaks. Looks like I'm missing Jackson, Pierce and Eisenhower. Welp...
Sounds like you may have southern prezi traverse in your future including Jackson:) I must say, Mizpah Hut is a pretty spot to relax when it is open before heading up to Jackson!
Great video as always! ❤
Great hiking partners as always
wow beautiful
Thank you Deepak!
What time did you start? I want to get this one done. Wondering if I should bring sleep gear???
We did Isolation last summer so we had a lot more daylight. If you are gonna give it a go in the winter I recommend starting as early as possible with a headlamp etc. You most likely will need snowshoes and I think Rocky Branch would be better this way if you choose to go that route. You could definitely stealth camp along the way but be safe!! Good luck out there and stay warm:)
This just proves that AAL goes well with any situation.
#truth
Congrats
Thank you!! On to round #2!
Congrats on completing the 48! What a day to finish on!
It sure was a day! Ty!!
Congrats! What a spectacular day you had!
We really lucked out with that undercast!
💯this deserves some love peeps
this is awesome - literally resonates with me
Thank you!
want to launch a YT channel. what do you suggest how to start?
I just use a Gopro for all of my shots. There is much better equipment and editing software, I just don't have the time with all of the hiking:)
seems you are new to this but keep going
Will do. Appreciate the feedback!
I like this one
❗❗❗🙌❗❗❗
yes yes yes. Decent vid. The angles are soso thogh. You can do better on the next
Appreciate the feedback!
🥃 cheers to this
Maravilhoso.
i am new to this. can you teach me how to make these kind of videos?
Gopro and a basic editing software is all I use.
Great! Thumbs up
Thank you
Such strong.

Buenaaa 😍😍😍
Navigation, shade, camera angle, shot - killer, friend.
Appreciate it
What a lovely hike bud! Stunning scenery and you captured this so nicely!
It definitely gave me a challenge but it was so worth it!
This is a hike I've had my eye on for a while. I always get pulled into the Whites but I need to hit up these trails at some point. Nice work - maybe I'll give this all day effort a try this summer.
I absolutely want to go back and do this one in the opposite direction. The east side was awesome, but there were not any bailout points so I chose to play it safe and go from east to west. By the time I got to the end of the west side i was pretty beat but it was worth it! I think you would enjoy it! The patch is always a bonus if you are into that as well:)
@@thepresentvegan I do love patches...
Sick song
Such a nice hike. Glad to see winter is there up high.
I have a feeling this is one you are very familiar with! I was lucky to have a great day to be out:)
@@thepresentvegan Ha! Definitely been on those trails a few times, but never done the traverse in that direction. Pretty sure I would prefer starting at Lincoln Woods, if only to get that long stretch out of the way.
@@RhodySeth I will absolutely start at Lincoln Woods next time. Those last 5 miles take some mental toughness ha!
One of the best hikes in my life the top was speechless
I would have to agree! Speechless at the top
My flimsy ass wouldve fallen off the cliff by simply looking down

Yes, it is pronounced “Will-Lee” and not “Why-Lee.” Thank you for pronouncing it correctly in your video!
Thank you! Appreciate the confirmation. I still hear Why-Lee quite often.
Breathtaking atmosphere bud, such a relaxing and serene experience!
Same to you. Love your vids man. Great stuff.
Why the rail on the ground j seems Locke a tripping hazard
I had the same question! The answer I got was for people who may need to crawl in that area?
Such a lovely trail and very pleasant walk. Wonderful views and your music makes the hike seem effortless. 👏👏
Thank you! It really is a blast if you are ever in the White Mountains. I have subscribed and I look forward to checking out your content!
@@thepresentvegan thx a ton
This is not a symphony, its nature ..how inappropriate!
It’s music or me breathing loudly the whole video. Which would you prefer 😂. I will also take suggestions for music that is not copyrighted or is public domain.

Thank you! I kept getting snake berries in my online search and I didn’t think that was correct.
The wind and exposure on the way up Washington sounds pretty scary - I definitely would want to watch my step too!
It's so cool that they filmed their hike and shared it with everyone - it's like we get to experience it too!
I love the sound of the music and the applause in this video - it really adds to the excitement and adrenaline rush of the climb! 🎶👏
What a stunning winter wonderland! I'm getting all sorts of adventure vibes from this hike! 🤩
The elevation gain on this hike is insane - I don't know if I'd be able to handle it! But it looks like an amazing experience overall. 🤯
Those skiers up there look like they're having a blast! Maybe next time, I'll try skiing down the mountain instead of hiking up it.
It was pretty wild to watch!
