For your reference below is the rack components used for my specific applic...

Thermostat and AC won’t turn on
มุมมอง 1848 หลายเดือนก่อน
Came home to find my thermostat screen would not power on, this began the journey of DIY discovery that led me to share this video. Did you know a repair could be as easy as a 3 amp fuse, or a switch at the condenser, or a capacitor at the condenser…all repair items and all inexpensive. I am not a professional but with some knowledge it’s possible to change out the wear items that might fail on...

What grease you using? I saw red on one sitting then I noticed you adding a white grease
I just take my seat off the bike that is the last one to mount. That also keeps it dry in case it rains.
Check out Project Farm channel's oil test. The Mobile finished near the bottom of the testing. Other brands were cheaper and performed better. FYI
Thanks that was helpful!
Wilco Off Road has a Great wing arm. I love mine and I’m buying a 1 up too. I love my Van too. Cheers Dave I have the Owl Van Monster Box and I need the extender for the swing arm too…🤙🤙🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️💥💥💥🚐🚐🚐🚐
Good to hear and will check out your suggestions, thanks.
Thank you for doing this video. You are the bravest Lexus lx owner doing this on his vehicle appreciate too much.
AMEN BROTHER……BOTH are DECEIVERS!!!
Bro is obsessed with them
Hydraulic?
Yes LX suv has always had the Hydraulic suspension. The GX always got air suspension.
I'd rather drive Corolla and let mechanics do oil change instead of driving LX and DIY
Well alright
Cool story bro
Sounds like a Corolla is exactly where you belong.
Do LX owners DIY? Incompatible😂😂
It’s just an oil change troll, why does it matter?
Thanks for the video. I am going to do this on my 2017 Land Cruiser.
Good luck, it’s DIY friendly!
Skip to 2:00 for the rack
I’ve heard the slip yokes could bind if you over grease them? I saw another video where they greased the slip yokes then after putting vehicle on ground they loosened the zirc and used the AHC to drop the vehicle to let any extra grease squirt out.
That is interesting information, thanks for sharing.

Hi Scott,Max here, nice introduction of the channel, I’d love to see mainly videos on LX570 diy maintenance. I have 2013 LX and recently did AHC oil change by myself, it’s so much joy to work on your car, and having some video guidance on things like lubricating drive shaft that you’ve made is very very helpful. Much love, greetings from Poland
Hey Max, welcome to the channel! I also need to service my AHC system to maintain its health, did you use a specific TH-cam content provider for help with your truck…if so please share. Thanks
Thank you for this video! I have the same vehicle. Is it just me, or does your LX also seem to wander over the road? I have new tires, alignment the whole 9 yards. Is it because of the hydraulic suspension? It has always been that way. I'm just curious to know if that is just the way this vehicle drives. The steering seems to follow every little dip in the road surface.
Apologies for the delay, I would want to compare with other vehicles as all my vehicles can wander a bit based on road crown, imperfections, etc, and my LX drives similarly. I am not a pro at diagnosis, but has yours had the ball joints checked or has it ever been in a front end accident? For mine, I could not attribute any wandering to hydraulics, mine is well planted.
Thanks for your response. No I haven't had the ball joints checked and there hasn't been any front end collisions. I will start with having the ball joints checked out. Thank you!
Great video! Thank you
Thank you!
I have a 2020 LX570. I will do an oil change soon. Thank you for the video.
Glad to help!
Hey Scott - super helpful. I’m working through mine right now. Maybe I’ll save $550…
Good luck!
@@OGDIY-itseasy. This worked Scott, my AC is running again after an $18 investment. Appreciate it bro
Sir your presssure looks really high . Please be careful
1up has locks that lock wheels to rack support bars. I wouldn't consider your wife's bike stable with how low the brace is with the fender. I don't think 1up is designed for bikes with fenders. Otherwise a great rack.
Thanks for the suggestion on the wheel locks, I just ordered them. The rack product materials discusses fitment for bikes with fenders and when adjusted appropriately her bike is quite secure, other than the miss of not having wheel Velcro straps. Still very pleased with the rack’s super ease of use.
Great video thank you!
Glad you liked it!
I have the 1Up rack, and have had to replace the horizontal silver teeth part on two of my racks, but they are relatively cheap and very easy to swap out.
This is great to hear as I really like the rack. Cheers to 1Up for making parts available, but would also like to see an approach where the teeth don’t wear out, as a consumer my expectation is my bike doesn’t hit the payment at high speed due to worn out teeth. Will definitely check out parts replacement option.
Scott-nice video. We are investigating bike racks for our GMC Terrain tow vehicle pulled behind our RV. Liked your review and we will check out this 1UP rack for sure!
Ease of use is high, quality appears to be quite good…and cost a bit higher to go with it. That old saying, you get what you pay for!
There are how-tos on moving the hitch light plug as everyone has the same complaint.
Found the one from Owl Vans but their product is super expensive, do you have a suggested video in mind? Thx
Hey brother, I noticed you didn’t add the smaller gasket on the filter housing cap. I highly encourage you to go back and add this on. Luckily it’s not too late and won’t cause you too much of an issue to take it off, add the gasket and put it back on. Good luck!
That is a great catch, thank you! Fortunately I discovered the miss off film and made the change. Funny as I had this thought in the back of my mind a practiced viewer might catch the miss…well done!
@@OGDIY-itseasy awesome! And thanks again for making this video! Have a great day
Shouldn’t there be an O-ring behind that filter housing drain plug?
Yes and added the o-ring off camera, good catch!
Great to see fellow LX owner doing service themself! Safety glasses 🙏
Glad I spotted your video. I have a 2018 LC and a 2021 GX. Already have the jack and a grease gun so I'll be picking up some jack stands and grease cartridges and attacking this myself.
Good luck, hope it goes well.
220 volts is controlled by 24 volts from the furnace, not 110 volts. By the way the thing you are calling a switch, is a called a contactor.!!!
Thank you for the correction!
Very miss placed tv or t stat, it's never gonna be right temperature, because heat comes off the TV.
Good point, fortunately the tv is rarely used.
I start my 460 and spin the tires to look for vibrations. Found a tire out of balance. I grease mine every other oil change. chuck
I am going to get on that schedule as I am hoping mine goes over 500K without major issues.
Good video man I have an 09 and that front u joint is a bear.
No doubt, but reachable, and love the trick of twisting the drive shaft to disengage the grease gun fitting!
@OGDIY-itseasy what other projects do you think you'll have coming up.
Well, it’s quite a laundry list of projects from automotive, home repair and service items. Feel free to shout out content that would be helpful.
@@OGDIY-itseasy ok thanks
Thank you for sharing and it gives me confidence to do my 2013 LX 570.
Great to hear and good luck with your LX
