Anime back then was amazing in the eyes of a blank slate new anime watcher, but it may not look as good now to the people of today's generation because they're used to better animation and story.

The main point of the mall debate is that a snake(S) can always reach you but there are going to be spots where the gorilla wouldn't be able to reach.
