It's great but it lacks her somehow
This was on her very first album that she threw away. She doesn't add it to her her vast catalog. I remember her saying how she had piles of copies of the album and threw them all in a dumpster. She talks about in interviews how this was not her sound and more what a producer at the time was getting her to be.The subject matter of the songs was also way to personal for her at the time and she had to distance herself from it. She counts all the other work before this album and after it in her catalog

This softer side of her doesn't come through as much in her later music. You see it occasionally here and there, but this is a straightforward mourning-of-love song-I'll be damned if it isn't beautiful though.
