Thanks for adding the site numbers - that helps a lot 🍻
You are most welcome! Thank you for your support!
I live in Wappapello and watching this video gave me chills, you passed my favorite camp spot!! (65) right up by the water. Thank you for this beautiful video, I'm so happy you guys enjoyed your stay. <3
Haha! In Asher? That was my fav also! Thanks for watching! We really appreciate our Fellow Explorers!
You guys seem great. Its hard, however to watch when the first half of the video is just you two talking. I believe most people want to have specific sites pointed out to them ... i.e. "here's RV sites 20 - 28" that kind of thing. Tent campers already know what they're getting.
Thanks for the feedback, this is pretty old. I would hope we are doing better now. Thanks for watching!
Also, we do point out the camp sites but this one in particular was not well marked and noone was in the store to get info from. We don't say anything if we are not possitive
The rocks are there for a reason and not a decoration. I've camped all over that campground and we have a a good size trailer and never once did my husband have trouble.those rocks are there so people are not backing all over the place
I wasn't talking about Rocks. It may not b all over but we watched numerous campers try to get into spots and they didn't have room to bcuz of rocks and trees. One camper actually pulled out a number sign for the spot to do it. The bathrooms were a complete mess when we were there.
All of it is beautiful.
Amen! Thats why we are always headed that way. LOL Good to hear from you, Thank you for your support! God Bless!
I'm back, scouring your channel for this year's camping trip with my son. We witnessed the eclipse at Van Buren and I was surprised to see a gushing spring, there. I'm surprised to see this, also! We'll see how far we want to venture from St. Louis, this time. The furthest we've been is Lakewood Pines, so far. Thanks for your content!
Welcome back! That was Big Spring in van buren, we have a video on that. Turners mill is cool. on the opposite side of the river there is a free campground on the other side of the river that has 5 (i think) campsites right on the river. Its Gorg! And the spring is so cool. Actually, that area we go to alot. Check out these videos. It's everything in that area that you guys could go check out. Its a good thing you checked out pinewoods because now its a pay campground. Every since we did a video it gets alot of traffic so now they are charging. LOL Anyway, go check these videos out,( Falling Spring,)( Camping with good friends),( Greer Spring is the 2nd largest spring) a mile long trail and its sooo cool at the end, Greer is not free right now but its only like $10. Thats our fav place to go. Camping with friends shows that campground good, the ozark trail goes thru there and you can take trail to river, its so cool, If your thinking of a different area let me know. Eminence area is a good place too. We camp at sinking creek alot and theres alot to check out in the area. Sinking creek is $5 and its right on the current.
@@ExploringGodsCreations Thanks for all this good stuff! I'll be checking out these videos.
The B2 bombers conducting training exercises in your video are from Whiteman Air Force Base, which is located to the north, just outside of Knob Noster, Missouri. The pilots are heroes to many Missourians and U.S. citizens, as they played pivotal roles in most of the recent Middle Eastern conflicts. It was said that by the time an Iraqi soldier heard or saw a Whiteman B2 flying overhead, it was too late because they were already dead. Truman Lake is pretty new, so while it has gorgeous views overall, unfortunately many of their campgrounds still need to "grow up" (which explains the lack of shade and amenities you experienced). They will soon be really nice though. I was born and raised in Missouri, so I know the Missouri Ozarks area quite well. If you are searching for a clean, quiet, relaxing and inexpensive shaded campground, I suggest that you try the Nemo Landing Campground on Lake Pomme de Terre (not to be confused with nearby Lake Pomme de Terre State Park). The waters of Lake Pomme de Terre are extremely clear and pure, as they are fed by several cold springs. I have camped there regularly since I was three years old. (I am now over 60.) It has always been meticulously operated and maintained by the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers. All of the campsites are shaded and level, with 30/50 amp and water hookups available at most sites. While there are no sewer hookups at individual campsites, a sewer dump station is available near the camp office for all guests. Best of all, many sites are located within just feet of the shoreline. All have beautiful views of the Lake. Clean showers, flush toilets and laundry facilities are located throughout the park. There is a well maintained sandy swim beach and, if you have a boat, there is a very large boat launch area with ample parking. Don't let the small size of Lake Pomme de Terre fool you, as it is known to be one of the best fishing lakes in the entire Ozarks region. Healthy populations of largemouth bass, white and black crappie, walleye, catfish and bluegill are stocked and monitored regularly. Muskie tournaments are also common, and it is not unusual to catch 52+ inch trophies. The Nemo Marina is located across the road from Nemo Landing. Fishing and pontoon boats are available to rent by the hour or day for a reasonable fee. One of my favorite parts of the Nemo Landing Campground is the interdenominational service that is held every Sunday morning in the common area located in the center of the park. Praising God and fellowshipping witj other campers in the outdoors just makes the incredible scenery and wildlife look even more beautiful! I apologize for being so long-winded. I just love my state, and hope that you will find the information I provided to be helpful. Here's to safe and Blessed travels. God Bless!
I luv your post! Thanks for the jet info. That was weird. We have done a review on nemo before. We stayed at pomme deterre at Pittsburgh and Heritage. Nemo was really nice tho. We luv Damsite campground and Outlet Campground we just happened upon. They all have their own little specialties. I luv water tho so damsite entices me. Thanks so much for reaching out to us and watching. This was the best campground we found on the lake. We didnt get to see one that I wanted to. Let me ask you though. What is the deal with Berry Bend? I had my hopes up high and my Bubble was burst. It looked like an old ghost town. Its a shame too cuz its such a beautiful area. Check out the channel, we have done alot of campgrounds in the ozarks. I think its great that your proud of Missouri, when we started doing our channel, I was amazed at how many parks were free and beautiful. All I could think about was why I didnt take my kids to all these parks. Well, we still can with the grandbabies! Again, thanks for your support! God Bless!!
In my honest opinion, I have never really felt am attraction to Truman Lake. I remember when they blew out the dam on the Osage River in Osceola to clear a way for the lake. Half the town of Osceola was flooded by the lake. I was very young, but can still remember feeling angry about the families who were forced to move not just in Osceola, but in other areas as well. Once I became an adult, I only had very limited exposure to Truman Lake. I participated in a few bass tournaments there and occasionally camped in a couple of campgrounds. The last time I was there, the lake was flooded ovr several feet over
@@happyevans9370 wow. i can imagine that would have been a sight to see. Yea, I wasnt impressed. I wish i could have went to Bucksaw tho. I liked table rock better. I dont care for lake of the ozarks either. Luv Pomme Deterre.
Are u guys the caretaker of this place ??
No, we have a channel of campground reviews. Seems pretty awesome
😊😊😊😊😊😊😮😮😮
Pinewood is no longer free. They charge $15 dollars a night.
Did you call?
You are correct. We have gotten the word out and sense they see so many ppl they recently changed it. They said there are plans for water and electric. So much for free, I personally don't think $ 15 is cool. For just a vault toilet. Thanks for the heads up! You r appreciated
thank you. it is harder than it should be trying to find good tent camping sites. when a campground does have pictures they are always bad angles or blurry
We see them. Let me kno what area ur camping in and I will try to help
Looks beautiful!!
You two find the neatest places
Thanks so much! This is in our top picks. Thanks for your support. I am excited cuz we are going to Arkansas soon!
Just signed up as a subscriber I found you guys because you commented over in a different video 🤠👍🏽🤠 Glad I found your station I am trying to follow in your footsteps Ciao
Welcome aboard! Thanks so much for your support. We are trying to get on a schedule of Sundays @ 5pm. Sooo much going on.Thanks for subscribing! God Bless
Thanks for the video. We'll be staying here in May. Looks like I picked a good site.
So glad we could help! Thanks so much for your support. We Appreciate it!
So glad that you love this site! I am actually apart of the Forest Service and this is one of the sites I take care of. Would love to hear any feedback on what you think this site might need improvement on. Love watching y’all’s channel, God Bless!
We love Greer! We have been going there way before we started doing the channel. We do campground reviews. We were upset to see the Camphost left, but it was nice when we had him. The only thing that we dont care for is the high sides on the fire pit. We like to see the whole fire. Thanks so much for your support. We will probably be going back soon. Maybe we will run into you.
Enjoyed
Thanks for your support
Thanks for sharing a nice video! How is it walking down to the water from the camp sites? We like to take our chairs to the edge of the water and watch our young kids kayak. Is the there a decent bank for that or is it steep/brushy?
Thx so much for watching! We appreciate the support. At the beginning, like where the parking lot is and horseshoes and swingsets, there's a rock beach and ppl were sitting there 1:53. The site we did the intro at had trail to water but I don't think there was room for chair. Then there is an area that is considered a boat ramp that I think u could. I think site 9 which is the 1st site would be the best. It's been awhile so I had to watch the video myself. Memory is not well these days. Lol. Let me ask u tho. What's drawing u to this park? Cuz there are numerous campgrounds around this lake. I am behind. I have 3 or 4 more videos to release. Also, how old are the kids? There is a sign at the beginning that warns u that periodically they release water from lake and they have a siren that goes off. We didn't witness that but I have seen pics of rushing water.
So maybe like 10-12 would be closest?
Yes. It starts at 9
We typically stay at lightfoot landing on pomme but like to try somewhere new once in a while. We only have kayaks so I like to be very close to water where can put them in near our campsite. Our kids are 10 and 7
Absolutely amazing video of the Bluff View area. We try to foster a family atmosphere at Bluff View: it's not uncommon to see families walking around the campground with bikes, strollers, sedgeway's, everyone out enjoying their selves. For a real hoot, stop by the marina and give a try at bottle feeding the fish - they eat the food right out of the bottle.
That's too cute. Thx 4 watching!
I Love Yahweh
I’m 66 and my Great uncle Gus Kehner owned the grocery store in Davisville after WWII for 35 years. Back in the 1970s a person from the Missouri Historical Society/Forrest Ranger gave free tours and lectures inside the Mill..
COOL
Thanks again for all of this. I love the "pull up for precise seeking" tool.
Thank you for supporting us!
New to KCMO from Minnesota, and NW Wisconsin, your channel breathes nature's life into me! I have a camper van and hope to explore soooooo many of the wonderful areas you show on this channel. Thanks so much for all your content!!
Thanks so much for your support! We have so much more ready. You def need to chk out the videos that we are going to put out a few episodes of stuff to check out Down hwy 44. Have u met Taylor Swift yet? 😉
Is this place normally dead between late fall and winter? I need campsite 116-130 for the field (astrophotography), so I was hoping that I wouldn't be disappointed after driving 3hrs.
Pretty much. When we were there it was fall and not many were there. They close part of it. It's a really cool park
I would call them now and reserve them
@ExploringGodsCreations They don't take reservations during the off season. 😒
I'm sorry. I would get there early and if you can a weekday. I don't think you will have any problem. When we were there, there were only a few ppl there.
Thanks for the video! We may end up there tomorrow. Love your name and slogan!
Awesome! Thank you! go all the way down to the end of the road. its gravel but maintained. Thanks for watching! God Bless!
Had many picnics there with my Granny and cousins. Learned to swim lol. The ferry used to cross. Now I'm dating myself! Teary eyed with memories. No campgrounds. Just gravel roads, kids in back of pickup and lots of family, splashing, food and love. ❤
Oh wow! Sounds awesome! I'm glad you have such good memories. Thanks so much for watching. God Bless!
Paved trails are awesome Thanks for great video
Thanks so much for watching and comment! It was. This was a very nice park!
We love your campground tours. This compilation is very cool. We like seeing several at once. We’re always looking for new places to camp. Thanks for sharing some of your faves.
Thanks so much for your kind words. We arnt making money on this and i hate begging for subscribers and likes.. Its been getting overwhelming so i have been looking into diff videos but dont enjoy those. Hopefully, God willing people will start soon. Thanks! God Bless!
@@ExploringGodsCreations TH-cam is tough. It’s not easy and none of the tips and tricks I’ve ever seen works. The only thing I’ve ever noticed a difference with was networking (watching other channels vids and leaving a comment and joining in on livestreams). Typically in the same or nearly same genre as your channel would likely work the best. I’ve been at it for 4 1/2 years. It’s a ton of work and very time consuming. I did notice the content change of your channel. My suggestion, if you aren’t enjoying them then don’t do them. It will only make you not like doing it at all. Stay with what you like. Keep it enjoyable for yourself. Maybe try getting into doing some shorts vids. Sometimes that can also help channel growth. I wish you the best and hope you didn’t mind my two cents 😉😁
i WELCOME any help. I was putting all that stuff up to see how the views are. Are you guys on the road? We subscribed. What kind of software do you use for editing?
@@ExploringGodsCreations We are on the road periodically. I film everything with my cell phone. Used to use a galaxy but switched to iPhone about a year and half ago. Edit on my iPad with InShot app. I’ve tried using a couple other editing apps, but they ended up charging way too much. I like inshot because it’s free with ads and can remove their watermark by simply watching an ad. I’ve considered purchasing the app, but I don’t use a ton of stickers and transitions in my vids like I did in the beginning. I’ve been pretty happy with it so far. It’s also nice because it’s pretty simple to use so very suitable for both advanced and beginner editors. Hope that helps you out some 😊
Thanks for the response. I will have to check that one out. We are in our house still and go out when we want, even just a day trip. We were leaving Friday but IDK now with this stupid shutdown. What area are you from?
If you're going to put information on the screen, please give people time to read it.
You can always pause it
I try to keep length down. This one ran long. Sorry, I will take your opinion and watch it better. Thx!
Lot of trees I see.
We like lots of trees What do u prefer?
Thank You!!!
Thanks so much for your support!
My favorite place on this earth. That’s actually me on site 4. And towards the beginning of the video the family on beach in the distance is my family as well. Super cool to see this.
Oh wow! That's so cool! We really liked this. Today we are going to check out the new Red Bluff campground. Thx four watching
Got my list of sites ready for cooler weather!!!! Thank you so much for this & ‘at God continue to bless y’all !!
Glad to hear it! We have our own list ready! More Freebies! Thx for watching!
Went swimming there many times back in the day! Was the local "swimming hole" for many of us. Thanks for posting.
You bet! We have been going to this area for years and never knew it existed. Thanks for watching!
Loved this, especially the Zoo and the Botanical Gardens 🥰
Wow. Well done.
Thank you for showing this . I have been below the dam but I do not think I have been where you two were standing. I subbed because I liked the video and as a TH-camr I want to support other local content creators
I apologize cuz i dont remember seeing this comment. If you like this one, make sure you subscribe then click notifications and all. That way when we release a new video you will be notified cuz I am behind and have more videos of campgrounds around this lake. We were actually looking for 3 campgrounds on the other side of the road that were on the lake and we happened to see this sign so after we did the other campgrounds, we went back and checked this out. The area is absolutely gorgeous! Its right up our alley, its peaceful, quiet, shaded, Lots of trees. There are a few spots to get to the water. Again, We thank you so much because we are trying so hard to grow our channel. We appreciate your support so much! Thanks and God Bless!
Really wanted to camp here this weekend but brochure says camping only allowed september 15-may 15 . What kinda crap is that? No summer camping???????
Just found your channel and love it. Like how you even show the site numbers. We live in southeast Missouri so you have showed us many campgrounds near us. It is nice to see the campground like you said plus the site # as well. Keep up the good work.
Anybody know if Catfishing is good here?
from what i heard its great
Mooooooooo..... 😂
Hey Rocky.. You gonna spoil that Zebra rotten... lol... He will eat as long as you feed him... Or her... 😅
