Vegeta wasn’t a main character until namek saga, yes he was the villain of that arc but the focus of the fight was Goku, krillin and gohan than vegeta. The other fights like vegeta vs beerus at bulma’s birthday party was so small it shouldn’t even count. Are you counting chaozu vs nappa as a fight?

The storymode itself was a huge disappointment especially deciding to go with moving images instead of full on cutscenes. I was so disappointed that I decided to redownload Kakarot and pretend it was like an extended dlc for Sparking Zero campaign 😂

Super saiyan god vegeta but no broly movie fight

Vegeta’s story mode pissed me off. Like you said, no Saiyan saga, no golden Frieza fight, no Beerus rage moment, Goku Black fight, and no tournament of power. It felt like a slap in the face to all Vegeta fans

I think it's important to note most of the fights you say aren't in the game actually are in the game but not in Vegeta's campaign mode. I think the devs did this to try to cut out on duplicate fights and differentiate the campaigns, but personally I think the entire campaign system is itself flawed and massively underwhelming. I think it should have been like the old Budokai games where there is only one campaign but you constantly switch characters, which avoids this constant back-and-forth timeline travelling whenever you start a new campaign.

I dont know. Gohans my favorite character but ol geetz is probably the one ive spent the most time playing. His alternate stories are probably my favorite in the game. And getting to blue evolved works alot better when you use ability capsules. I do hope they eventually add ultra ego though

What really sealed the deal for me is the story where vageta goes super saiyan and kills frieza is off screened in Goku's story

This is why I say What-if’s being a separate mode would benefit story mode way more. Without what-if battles all across the different story modes you have all the more reason to fill in canon in story fights that weren’t in the game (playing as vegeta against goku, or trunks vs cell) .

Honestly yeah, I was downright shocked by how short Vegeta's story mode is, I thought I missed something or did something wrong at first when it just ended at the kid buu fight... like wow that's cheeks. Not only that, but he gets like, 2 what ifs? Even Piccolo was done better, and he didn't get any super content either. Honestly, it is very clear that this game was rushed out to meet with the release of Daima, it needed a few more months in the oven, so many parts of this game are clearly *almost* there but they just rushed it and we end up with a flawed gem. I hope they fix some of the issues over time, but I have my doubts that we will ever see major story changes or significant changes to core mechanics, but one can hope.

Can’t forget how they took out all of trunks fights in dbz. Not a single one. I was so looking foreward to all his fights only to learn you can only fight zamasu

Sparking zero failed a lot of things and I’m over everyone saying it’s amazing I just don’t see it the story mode is a let down the what ifs are not bad but could have been explored more fight creator is a joke better scenario creators in WWF games from ps2 and every battle is just spam combo

I loved all of Vegeta's What If stories, honestly I found a lot of the story missions boring (it's probably the weakest part of the game) but I had a big nerdy grin on my face for like 80% of Vegeta's story missions. I completely agree that we should have had more. If Goku had 55 missions, Vegeta needed at least 40 or so. But what we got was good, and as you mentioned the Cell saga was excellent.

Frost, Cabba, and Hit are all in the game and they didn't give us the Universe 6 tournament where he fights all of them and more.

It broke my heart when the episode ended at the kid buu saga but at least there were a few sparking episodes that were nice for my dawg

I feel like the story mode was a random idea they thought was great then after making goku's story run they realized ohw shoot we gotta do this for every character???? Just throw some random fights in quickly boyss!!

I mean let's be honest the developers got lazy we can call it what it is for what it is It sparking zero is lazy they made a game look gorgeous and gave us only like maybe 15% of content and The rest is just barebones and that's what sucks about sparking zero because as much as it looks beautiful it is a crappy game honestly when we can go back and just play Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and get more from that

Bro no joke, when i finished Vegeta story i was like "Wait why can't i go to super?" Then i was like, oooh i probably need to finish others stories first alright. When i realised what it was to say that i was dissapointed is an understatement

If you want a more in depth story mode, play Kakkarot

Another thing that is also insulting is when you look at vegeta's model when you start his campaign they used the super model its almost like they wanted to do super but backed out last second

Can we admit? This game isn’t really good. It’s not bad. But it’s a massive let down.
