Great interview. Less than two weeks until the album comes out now, and I'm so hyped for it. I've seen AFM live twice now, and they are absolutely awesome! If you ever get the chance to see them, don't hesitate.

I had noticed that you very rarely hear songs in 3/4 time on the radio, but when you do, they have a wonderful lyrical feel to them. I immediately noticed that Teardrops was in 3/4 time, but the line about the "old Ghost Love Boat" is in 8/8 time (I think?). The rhythm of this song intrigued me. I love the whole album by the way; my first venture into Sonata Arctica, and I must explore their back catalogue.

Saw them in Sydney for Glam Fest. Never really knew much about them apart from hearing the name. I was very impressed with their set. New fan now.

I'm still shocked that of all the people I knew in Hoqiam that I had never met you. Me and skinny used to see each other at band contests and talk about a lot of stuff. Dean Ferris, walt and me and some other guys used all to hang out a lot and jam together. I tried out for several bands down there but I was from Elma so practicing was too far and, at the time, I was just average in my abilities anyway. Just surprised our paths never crossed. Then I move to Shelton and the next thing I see is you and Skinny on MTV and WTCP came out. I was like holy fuck. Then many years later my ex bass player joins your band along with Ronnie... another holy fuck moment. Steve tells me "I have to learn the songs" I''m like are you fucking kidding me? I did get the opportunity to meet you when you were down in the basement there at Steve's mixing Ronnie's vocals or doing something with them. Odd to come face to face with the legend I knew for so many years but never actually met. Didn't really know what to say. Well, anyway, It's been nice to see you grow all these years and are still at it with true intentions. God bless Mike, Skinny and okay.. even David. May they all rest in peace and keep rockin' worldwide bro. and..... alright steve

I met Marc years ago, back when he was in local RI bands. I first saw him live singing “tooth and nail” and when he hit the high note at the end I was a instant fan. Always try to catch his shows when he’s back in NE. And so happy to see a local guy hit the big time. Been a fan ever since. His Hellspeak record is fantastic. Let Us Prey is also amazing
