Great you found a bag of cotton shirts so cheaply. My local thrift store is $5.99 per shirt and I have to hunt for 100% cotton. But I have a huge stash at home and buy online at the clearances.

As far as I can tell, it just dangles from the bottom. But putting it around the plate would be something to take a look at!

That candy dish would make an excellent powder bowl for your bathroom or bedside table. It would be very elegant and you can put your container of dusting powder in that.
