That harmonica is precious to Dan. It was a gift from his father who passed several years ago from cancer. They shared a love of music. His father loved opera and they often didn't time listening together.

This is the most moving rendition! Dan's smooth velvety voice and intense power make in far more a prayer offered than a song sung.

Thank you Stewart for your great reaction to our song! I put credits at the end of the video which lists all of the musicians and their contributions, including what instruments are being used. That is a euphonium, a fatter version of a baritone horn, juniors to the tuba. I was excited to bring out a tune for Tori to sing with her own interpretation, and of course, she is fantastic at it. Hi Stew! Great reaction but I must say, the answer to your question was in the end credits! Jim always has detailed end credits. That instrument is a Euphonium. This was Pure Tori, also. No other inflections or a cover. Jackie DeShannon was the original artist but being a Bacharach/David tune everyone covered it. Glad you enjoyed it as much as me. Hope all is well! Joe

Hello Steward. - I always watch Lucy's videos, and this latest offering is the bees nees. There story line in "Don't Walk Away" is so sad, but so true in the right context. Really! I can't get enough, the way Lucy potrays this song is so down to earth, that, when I listen to the lyrics and watch her body posture, the blend of Lucy's knack to deliver a song so strong, with emotional content is truly amazing and colourful. No-one can do better. She has the world stage now, a brillient performance that is so deserving of "Lucy Thomas" ❤

Stew sorry for your "situation" but as we know life happens and having followed and supported Lucy for years this is the first song of hers that "doesn't do it for me." subject matter too close to home as "Life happens" and the way it is presented, and it seems its too screechy, not entertaining when it dredges up the past. and yes I have caught hell for that statement but all songs do not fit all people and their situation. thanks for the react and hope your situation gets resolved, yes this is an original song for Lucy as are ALL of her ROSIE songs as is her Better day Tomorrow.

My "driving music" too Stew - she's a drug and I'm addicted and can hardly get through a day without hearing her beautiful voice - I think the song was recorded for their "Christmas Portrait" album around 1978...the video was from a TV special the same year or maybe a year later - the album is considered one of the best Christmas albums ever, and this is what one would expect since it features Karen on most of the songs and she was at the height of her incomparable vocal talent.
