also yea not a lot of tournament players on the ou ladder but some are on there, like tricking or gxe. most of them are alts tho

@polishpipebomb very good take on this, like you said at the bottom, you tried to get good, which is the same as what I did. I personally wanted to be a "great player" since I dedicated a lot of time playing the game and I've seen that progress myself so it doesn't matter what anyone else says about my skill level. I might fumble some games, but I learn from it. One thing i also felt helped better than ladder for overall skill was draft. The only issue of draft is entry I'd say but it really focuses on your teambuilding ability which I believe is harder than actually playing.

unfortunately the people on OU ladder want to win by any means. Stall isn't the strongest style in gen 9 but if you don't have the tools they'll just tilt you the entire game and force you to forfeit

Good roar user, can half check majority of the meta and eats up physical hits. It’s not nearly as passive as sandaconda, and you can even use it alongside it sometimes. Tbh though i think even Stunfisk is better, its overall more consistent and it has better role compression as a stealth rocker. But Rhydon’s insane physical bulk with wish support from sylveon makes it tough to deal with, it gets even better with its insanely good coverage options. However both amoongus and bisharp kind of tear this core apart, and being weak to some of the most redundant mons in the tier really suck. So while I think rhydon has hella issues, it’s definitely not bottom 5, and definitely doesn’t deserve to be in the same category as seviper

I like Rhydon and think it's pretty distinct from Sanda for a few reasons 1. Rhydon is a flying resist and Sandaconda isn't. Sanda is 3hkod by Honch Brave Bird and becomes a shaky check if Honch is Moxie Boosted and it is chipped. Rhydon will always beat Honchkrow due to its typing. Checking Scyther is also pretty big for me, Sanda can do it but Scyther is basically as strong as Honch with an Adamant Nature and Scyther can double its attack (trailblaze is a bit dicey though I admit) 2. Rhydon has a more varied movepool. It might not be sweeping since it's playing a defensive role but moves like Roar and Counter offer a lot of utility. the comment above also says Stunfisk is better than Rhydon but I disagree.

@@ToyTimeKing you don't need more. Everything after is bad. The Railgun side series has some good stuff but is overall mediocre. Accelerator side series is medicore through and through. Index season 1 and Railgun season 3 is really all good stuff there is sadly.

@@DGSnowolf I get a mixed opinion of the Index series as a whole from many people I know. It's a shame for a long running series like that

@@ToyTimeKing It has a great power system, cool iconic characters and season 1 index and s3 railgun has great story arcs. Its main problem is that the mc of index, the main series is the worst and it suffers heavily from all kind of clichees you can think of. Its also a semi harem show with multiple girls being introduced made to fall for him just to then never be relevant again. It is really unfortunate, the series had the potential to be one of animes greatest.
