I spent the better part of 2 years slicing the ball and thought it was the way I was swinging and then a buddie of mine I golfed with out in Calif, handed me a club he just bought and said if you can swing this club, you can have it. I tried it and hit the ball very good and straight and he said Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas, it's yours, you can have it. The shaft said it had 4 degrees tourgue . I did what you did with my old club and I could turn the head a very good way backward. He told me a while later, doesn't it get monughtness, hitting it down the middle all the time. I said no I love it, thanks for the club you gave me with less tourgue. I have bought drivers with stiff shaft ever since.

Have bought your previous vids but this is the best drill ever ... it gives you the feeling of hitting early with the legs/feet reacting and following... as Nicklaus said ... you can’t hit the ball early enough. We have all got caught up so badly with lag & late hit theory that most golf teachers have forgotten that it’s the hands that hold the club and everything will REACT to how you use them... good work DK 👏👏👏 truth in simplicity.

Darrell Klassen, you have helped out more frustrated golfers than you can ever imagine. Thank you for the "straight to the point" direction in teaching. As a 10 handicap, I was struggling with a dead shank coming off the heel of the club that still gets me every now and again. This collar bone drill is simple and unbelievable effective. You truly are the man.

I play to a 9 handicap and was watching this and today I tried it at the range and hit my 8 iron 15yds further and with the best trag I've ever hit and straight as an arrow. my 8I is about 165 normal carry with easy swing and it must of gone 180 plus.

More bullshit here than I've ever seen as some clown pretends he knows it all and tells you that you don't know a thing in order to sell you something. TERRIBLE and all talk without ever showing us he can hit a shot as usual.

I agree totally, Darrell's 'hand-using' golfswing is by fare the most effecient and easy to learn swing out there. For my self i have experienced that to always set the club in the middle of your stands - no matter how fare forward in your stand you have the ball, gives you exstra speed/length. and also very straight ballflight.

I agree with your Robert. Darrell Klassen knows what he is talking about and is one hell of a good golf instructor. He doesn' just talk a good game, but he demonstrates on his videos how the how to make all the golf shots that he is making and explains every nuance of the game. Each time I watch his videos, I play better . I am with you. He is not senile.

Senile my ass. I tried what Darrell suggested here and added 10-15 yards to every shot and much, much straighter. This guy knows what he's talking about.

Well I never saw Jesus swing but being a Canadian I saw Moe Norman swing and that is why he was called "pipeline Moe" I wonder why?

The only two people to hit it straight every time is Jesus and Moe Norman ;)

Thanks very much for the tip on release with an analogy of holding a hammer. This one tip has cured my slice and other straight shots that travel along a completely different line to the one I thought I was aiming! Today I hit the ball so much straighter and longer I was shocked by my increase in power with no change to my swing.

I am now 62 and mucked around at handicap of 18-20 for years and was frustrated Changed to Darrell method and in one year was playing off 10 and I agree with eli. Thought I could get better and more distance by trying the more accepted PGA type methodologies (straight left arm) and blew out to 16. Have gone back to Darrell's methods and am back to 10 (in 3 months this time) - just an easy swing method that gives good yards and good consistency. I keep going back over the videos as there always seems to be something I missed or forgot. I have never paid a professional for a lesson - and still manage to play off 10 using Darrell's methods... Just bend your elbow, keep it close in, chop down, rotate and hit your power point - it can take a while to get used to. I recommend starting with the 1/4 shot and slowly work up - I found it harder if you just try to hit full shots from the start,

This is one of the absolutte best and most informative golf tip videos on youtube. Start with this and you are fare better of than the stand hop and should turn, back-coiling, etc...! Very nice Darrell.

i promise you the best instructors in the country didnt say release is just "turning it loose and letting it go" unless they didnt feel like talking to this guy because he's old as are his idea

I do not even use my drivers anymore, just my irons and see what happens.

Can't tell if I like this training because of his 'irreverence' for the endless Tips that flow forth from every corner, or because he really has great ideas and practice drills that make the golf swing nearly thoughtless. I know. He doesn't teach a golf swing. But I do have to swing the club, throw the club, cast the club, and/or point the club. Language gets in the way of hitting through the ball, swinging thru the ball, or casting thru the ball. Will give it a good run tomorrow and see if that helps.

You look good Mr. Klassen. You look just the same. It's funny, but the older I get the better I hit it. Your concepts still make good sense. Getting into the right side and just beating the ball absolutely still works for me. I remember your lessons well sir!

Here's another guy that thinks golf is like Algebra in a classroom and talks the whole time. Lecturing people doesn't make a good swing as it's all about SHOWING and giving things someone can relate to.
