Quick flight from Greenville Seaplane base to Greenville Airport in a Beaver
Complete flight from ground team pushing into position to taxi and flight from the Greenville seaplane base to the Greenville airport in a 1955 deHavilland Beaver.
This is on Friday of the 2022 International Seaplane Fly-in. There is much less traffic on Friday than Saturday.
I debated on putting all the ground stuff in, but thought it was a good example of what the whole experience from start to finish is. The ground crew at the seaplane base is great.

Shuttling some friends from the airport to the seaplane base. Departing runway 32, joined the upwind for the East Cove. Taxied to the forestry dock.
Low and slow over Sebago Lake. Beautiful day!

Took the Beaver up to exercise the engine and did some late winter water scouting. Still too much ice to land, but getting excited for Spring!

Quick 45 minute flight from Portland, Maine (KPWM) down to Old Orchard beach, dropping to about 500' along the shoreline. Back up towards Scarborough, Cape Elizabeth and then back to Casco Bay to Falmouth area. Finally, back into KPWM, landing runway 11.

I love these videos of the traditional round engined Beaver.
I love anything involving Beavers with the original radial engine. You can keep the turbine engine and that new fangled electric idea.

A nice clean start, obviously a well fettled engine. The fact that there are so many Beavers still earning a living proves that they were built to last. I was eight years old when this particular machine first flew and I'm 76 now. The Beaver is far better kept than I am 🙂

Do they have a new pavement? I remember the runway looked much worse back when I was flying there in the early 2000's.
