Where do you get parts for a bike this old and rare?

I’ve seen videos from several different people of lots of riders but is this just a rider get together or are there actual TT races?

2nd vid I’ve seen about this event. Very cool. As a local old guy, I’m curious as to how many facilities were available after morning coffee hit most of my fellow riders of advanced youngness 😂. Great stuff. 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈

The AE is a rebadged Kawasaki A7 Avenger. The A7 featured rotary valve induction as an alternate to reed valves. For it's day, the A7 was ornery, embarrassing bigger bikes. Rotary induction increases the width of the engine assembly, so Kawasaki didn't use rotary induction on the later H and KH triples. Love your RD200. Thanks for sharing the video.

I have a 1956 Super 10 that I bought about 15 years ago. It is 95% complete and I keep trying to get time to get to it. I have 8 bikes in que in front of it, hopefully, I will get to it before too long. Subscribed!

Cool project! Tank dent shouldn't be a problem to repair. It looks very similar to a Sportster tank.

Here's my two cents, having resurrected dozens of bikes that have been sitting for sometimes decades: Particularly with Japanese machines, the engines and electronic ignitions are extremely reliable, unless you have reason to believe otherwise wise. It's the carburetors, always the carburetors, and specifically, the pilot jets. It's never not the pilot jets. Remove pilot jets, and clean 100%, or replace with OEM. If each slide moves and returns freely, then don't mess with the diaphragm covers. Fill with fuel on the bench. No leaks, reinstall, bike will run fine. Aftermarket rebuild kits generally not required, or recommended. Good luck 👍

Hey brotha, if you got any questions let me know or reference Suzuki katana mechanic on TH-cam, I have a 1991 gsx600f and was having a bunch of dumb issues and it ended up being the valves so if anything else try checking them, super easy to do and the clearence your looking for is between .004-.006

When you mentioned The North West. I looked up Vashon Island. My big sister was an exchange student there in 1981. Seattle/Puget Sound. She was there when Mt St Helen’s erupted! She travelled as teenager half way round the world from Australia to see one of the greatest geological changes to the face of the earth in our time! 👍

Cool vid! Great variety of bikes and nice roads and scenery too! I always loved the Yamaha YZR50/80’s. I’d hazard a guess that your CBR250 is quarter litre and has excellent response to throttle input!? 🤷‍♂️😁 I rode a few in my day. They belonged to mates of mine. I was a two stroke nut. The CBR also had a couple of years as an Australian model and it was about 52hp compared to the Japan only 45hp rule. And I’ve known them to do over 100,000km! 😳 they’re an incredibly well engineered piece of fine jewellery! Like a Swiss watch!

Thanks for the input! I have checked connections to CDI and gave applied some dielectric grease to the connections. I haven’t solved issues yet, but in next video I will run through a number of things I’ve ruled out. Cheers

As the coils don't "juse" all the voltage it should, all excess voltage and current goes to battery. I'll bet when your bike fires on all 4 cyl, it will be charging the battery the way it should. Check all connectors to and on the coils, and the signal wires from cdi box. They tend to burn and brake inside insulation due to age and heat under the fuel tank And of course dobbel check the carbs , jets and if they deliver enough fuel
