as someone who has a ASUS x507uf I can say that my unit does not support nvme at it's fullest potential so I would say you ahould opt for a m.2 sata

I have installed ssd and put hdd in the cd drive slot using hdd caddy, but after that my laptop often blue screen is it because of hdd caddy or because ssd is not suitable.
