Did the added weight of the body make it feel more tippy?
Are these 33" tires? Looks like everyone was holding you back at this ride!
I've found my new favorite video 🌻🏁🎀
Wow this is one cool ride 🌻
Its top heavy now . But a cool build .
Awesome
Wow this is awesome! - Caleb
Did you drive the vehicle all the way to the trail or trailer it? From my understanding these are perfectly street legal if registered as a VW bug. I’m also curious about how one of these would handle on the freeway.
On short drives to the trail, I just drive there. But you won’t enjoy this on the highway At all. Pumping up the tires from the 5 pounds I use off road to about 20 will help on the highway but it is still not very enjoyable for any distance
Can you send any pics of how you mounted the body to hydrohull72@yahoo.com? Also I have a 2019 YXZ1000r which I am purchasing a VW body this weekend to build. I noticed the RZR has a 90" wheel base, The Yamaha has the same. Did you stretch the chassis any to fit the body?
No problems with overheating?
Nope. But I do have a external fan attached to cool the belt that automatically comes on how to 140°. But no the engine and turbo are not overheating.
Now the question is... can you put a tent on top?
Awsome Baja. Great location. I just subscribed to your channel Keep the videos coming. If you get a chance check mine out. Subscribe and be eligible for our parts giveaway contest. Check it out
Nice stuff
it looks like you sit really high in it or is that just camera angle
We did a lot of messing around trying to figure out how to keep the full 17" of travel all the way around so it still works like a normal RZR turbo. So it sits pretty high. Otherwise we'd have to limit travel or just let it hit the fenders....which it just barely does now. th-cam.com/video/qFaMKPy3HSA/w-d-xo.html
Do they sell this as a kit?
No, it’s all custom
WayneskiWorld so this is a literally a Volkswagen beetle body dropped down over a rzr?
Yes....with a lot of work. See how th-cam.com/video/Yzys1ljLjfE/w-d-xo.html

This would be fun with an old Ford Festiva or similar! Is it street registered? That would be too cool.
Yup, registered, licensed, insured.
Dude thats the koolest bug ever !!! Is it wicked heavy now?
The bug weighs 2000 lbs complete with lots of spares, Full tank of gas plus another 3 gallons spare, spare tire and spare tire holder, 40 pounds of tools. Wait is 50/50, 500 pounds per tire
That is some NASTY stuff on that big monster! Awesome riding man!
I've considered this color. Now I am in love.
No. That is an actual 1972 super beetle body. The one piece fiberglass front end fenders and tailpiece are all aftermarket. But the body itself is 1972 steel and weighs 151 pounds. So the buggy is only three or 400 pounds more than a standard RZR.
Had that crazy idea just now! Great project guys. Is that a fiberglass body?
It was hard initially getting started because we didn't know if it would fit. But once we had a plan it was pretty straightforward, took five months from beginning to end and more expensive than I thought.
WayneskiWorld how much did the swap cost you
Thats some body swap! Was it difficult to do? Great to see old school looks with modern tech
Awesome!! Where did you get the body?
Just make sure you are tall enough for the 1190R. I lowered my front by sliding triple clamps down the tubes 1/2". I'm exactly 6' 0, no problem.
LOL! I hope you and your bike aren't too badly damaged! The climb out of that river is pretty bad. I'm really impressed!
Dude, Taylor Pass is brutal! Did you do the entire thing on that beast? Even the river?!
About 95%. The last 2-300 meters just before you jump up onto dry ground again, I did not do. I was too beaten up from washing my bike (and my clothes!) so we turned around. Prob woulda been easier to push on thru to the top of Taylor Pass above the lake and then ride the hogback into Aspen.
Remember my tires with car tire studs... work fine on pavement and hook up good on Ice too. However, when the carbide tips wear off you suddenly get slapped down due to over confidence. Ask me how I know.
I could ride that... but when I stopped that big thing my skinny little leg would fold up and I'd tip over.
