Grinder is my preferred with a punch, especially for aluminum as it's quite quick and as long as you don't go rambo with the grinder nothing gets hurt

just buy the General Tools heavy duty automatic center punch #78 ... mark the spot and use a 1/8th inch drill bit for a starter hole then pick a larger bit to drill it all out

The grinder would have been my logical choice. But it's always nice to have my uneducated choices validated by someone who actually DOES know what he's doing. 😊

Another really effective method is carbide burr bits in an air dremel. Both can be had at Harbor Freight for not much money and they make short work of rivet heads. They also are great for making the holes larger if you plan on replacing the rivets with bolts. They were a life saver when I redid some shackle mounts on a squarebody chevy frame.

Definitely the best method I’ve used! I’ve done this for things like leaf spring shackles. Works super well, especially if you use the air hammer after grinding it! Great video.

My tip or trick? Pay someone else to do it! I save myself stress and get to pay for some guys' kids to play T-ball or girl scouts.

That is not how you use this product you can paint over rusted parts but they gotta be cleaned up to the best not just wire brushed i sandblasted my whole frame befor i touched it with this i made sure 99 percent of rust was gone or converted

Its better to put the dryer out front by the condensor to help keep the refrigerant cool.

Did you ever use the back hanger bracket or just set the back on the trans tunnel and adjust the fore and aft angle with the front brackets you made? Installing one in my 66 Falcon wagon and getting the level/angle correct has been a struggle.

Doing this on a 63 ford with a gen light. Do I still need to wire in the resistor if I plan on running a volt meter?

I'm having the same issue on my truck, same engine, same year. I got it inspected by the dealership and multiples shops, no one found any issue in my truck. No lights, no codes, a lot of black smoke, miss firing, lack of power. Everything that you had on your truck I'm facing it on mine now.
