I remember the struggle to establish the Kohanga, the 'Karen n Ken' attitude was amped. Fast forward, this generation has dignified their enduring efforts. I'm humbled by Mick and Sam (saw the full version) The Rangatahi are focused, confident, intelligent among us. Whakapau kaha whanau👏

This is wonderful and makes me wish I had more te reo, however living in Ireland for nearly 40 years has made me learn more Irish than Maori! Great to see you Mick and Sam, you're a credit.! - Keep it up!! Slainte 'gus Saol agat! (Health and long life to ye!)

Kia ora Koutou Mick and Sam, My son Rawhiti sent me the link to watch your interview, I have so enjoyed it, Great memories from a great era, embracing kaupapa Maori. Which I too also still embrace today. My journey goes back even further, before Mike and Ngati Kahungununu Maori club. I feel very priviledged to have grown up in Whakaoriori with beautiful Nanny's and koro, who taught me so much in the world of Te Ao Maori. And Sam you are correct there are still so many many opportunities' to research and correct. much aroha to you both. ,

This interview is such a taonga itself. Brilliant..and also highly entertaining at times. What a geat story teller Mick is , with some great memories recalled from the struggle for Tikanga Maori during my time in the early eighties at East school Masterton. Sam Ludden.. your are an amazing person with a very special spirituality and upbringing..the furture of Wairarapa lies well in your hands.
