The audio quality is pretty wonky, almost puts a slurring your words, drunk spin of the wine drinkers. What if, and I just say if, if it turns out that the world of wine tasting is mostly codependent alcoholic people enabling each other, functional dysfunctional people... I pondered that thought while reading through a stack of Wine Spectator, I noticed a consistent almost stereotype of the obsessed/devoted wine taster, wine bibber, wino, drunk, whatever you want to call them. People who drink 1 to 2 bottles of wine per day, every day, yet deny they have an addiction, that they are not an alcoholic. From a business angle, there are people who are not actually wine wrinkles but merely buy product as an investment, something to buy, rack it to for a few years then flip for high profit. Heck, even empty bottles have resale value on eBay and even the shady refill black market(underground economy). I once bought an empty Opus One bottle for $5 and flipped it for $85. Let's see a wine wholesaler make a flip that fat! Final note: I've met people who don't drink alcohol for health, religious or other reasons, yet they have very successful wine shops and liquor stores. Comments?

Hunter Mann They dont drink it, they taste it. Once they tasted it, they spit it. Cant be alcoholic if you dont drink alcohol

This was a question that burned in my head for a long time after I was hired at a winery. It's certainly multifaceted, but the short answer is hospitality. I will not deny that there are alcoholics in the industry (especially since their job is to love wine) but the majority of people who work in tasting rooms share a handful of interests. Wine, Food, History, Science, and showing others a great time. It's something that's more easily said than done. The people pursuing any level of Sommelier training are dedicated to creating memorable experiences for their guests. Wine is fascinating because it captures the terrior. When you get to the winery and see the grounds, smell the air, and meet the people it can make any wine taste better. "Drinking" everyday 1-2 bottles is a low estimate for a serious critic or someone just learning to taste. Listening (or smelling) what the wine is trying to tell you is incredibly difficult. This is also why there are many people in the industry that "don't drink". Alcohol is dangerous, impairing, and should be enjoyed responsibly. For this exact reason I always spread the idea of quality over quantity, and awareness about the effects. Consume more than your body can metabolize and of course you'll feel like shit. When you save up, look around, visit the estate and ask questions. You might decide to spend $85+ on a bottle because the experience is more memorable, and therefore more bang for your buck, while also keeping your body healthy. This is hospitality.

It's mirrored, cut from 16:9 to 4:3, and the audio has been slightly tweeked... I never understand why a company wouldn't offer their programs with adds. Of course it's not like this is getting a ton of views so maybe it really isn't worth is.
