Any problems with the stove pipe getting pulled out of the stove or sections of the pipe being pulled apart in high wind? does the floor footprint keep the tent floor dry?
Thanks for the questions. Those are good questions. Regarding the stove pipe. No, we have no problems in high winds. The pipes fit fairly snug when connected together. The tent is not waterproof as that word can be misleading. In very wet conditions, we get a bit of condensation or moisture accumulating on the floor so we keep a towel handy. That happens with every tent we've ever owned.

We have always wondered what Dutch Harbor was like! Thanks for taking us along!
Our pleasure!
cool videos Was wondering what you did to help your sprinter start in really cold weather
We used fuel additive with fair to good result down to around -10F. Below that, we had problems getting the van started and I think the DEF started to freeze at -20F.
@@livingmyalaska I film and photo the Auroras from Fairbanks to the Brooks Range. Been out days at a time -30 to-50. Did this with a gas vehicle and was brutal. Now I have a sprinter and thinking I better put in a pre Engine heater... Did not even think about the DEF System. Lots to prepare for. Thanks for the reply. Great content you have posted for everyone to see. Wish you the best.
@@gregsyverson Thanks greatly. We had one major issue where the starter would not respond to the push button. It blew a fuse located near the passenger foot well. Stranded us overnight in sub-zero. I could not get my Sprinter to start at -30F. Photographing auroras sounds amazing!
When I lay the gen 3 flat like that I get an error on the app.
Foyer
My 520 rubi, I'd pick it over a 1000cc. Range, weight, no belt, gear driven. Not to mention fully locking front and read diffs. Pull start added just in case. The thing here is reliability and purpose driven.
The Rubicon is an awesome machine but it has limitations. It will not climb like the 6x6 and it will not carry as much payload as the 1000cc 6x6, or ride as smooth or pull as much or go through as much deep mud or snow. The 6x6 chassis is what makes it so very valuable.
I have been wanting to get an Artic Oven for years! They are hands down the only way to camp in the winter in Alaska.
LOL, we have TWO of them. The tent changed back country hunting for us in a big way.
I wonder… how would it work in summer if you hook-up an portable AC hose to the chimney exit 😄.
We've seen people use a forced air portable diesel heater to pump air in so I imagine a portable air conditioner would work in the same way?
You should try get the arctic oven igloo, I recently purchased one and I haven’t got a chance to use it yet
Let us kow how you like it once you get a chance to test it out.
What dealership did you buy this at and when? I've been looking at these and they are asking $5,300 + for these in the valley. Thanks
@@therealist5648 can’t remember the name but it’s on parks highway almost to big lake road. Taylor equipment maybe?

What type of revolver?
That one is made by Ruger and the model is called Toklat. They no longer make that one but they make similar models in the 454 Casull or 44 mag. caliber. Do you prefer one brand or another?
-40 Celsius is the same in freedom units... -40c = -40f. Its a meeting point between the 2 lol... This also starts to happen around -20.
Freedom units. Love that!
I wish that was me. Lol.

Thanks I think it is the 8 but I would need to verify. I have two of them. One with vestibule and one without.
What tells the story? "We Built the Road?" Written by Chris and Dennis McClure
We Fought the Road
I have been there many times. Almost every summer we would stop there and take a break and eat lunch before we kept on driving.
It is a long drive and a nice spot to take a break and refresh. Have you ever been through there in Winter?
@livingmyalaska no I have not. We always did it during the summer. As soon as school got out, we would drive from Anchorage to Grayling Michigan stay for about a month visiting family across Michigan, then drive back.
can am rocks
Yes they do.
Mountain goats or Dall sheep. Either name suffices .
Mountain goats and Dall Sheep are very different. Not the same thing. For the uninformed, it is possible to think a female sheep is a goat if you only look at the horns because they slightly resemble each other but not very much.
Wooow

Cinnamon swirl. I don’t know why you call it a bun it doesn’t look like a bun…😏🤷🏻♂️🏴
LOL, is cinnamon swirl a Canadian thing? In the USA, I've never heard the term.
@@steviesbadtv I'm from the US & I've always called them cinnamon rolls or buns. Usually cinnamon rolls. Maybe it depends on where we live in the US? I was raised in Wisconsin up until my teen years and then moved to Washington State. I think I've heard it called by both names.
@@livingmyalaska I don’t know if they say that in Canada you would need to ask a Canadian…😏🤷🏻♂️🏴
@@jenniferhansen3622 what would you consider a swirl a circle or a spiral shape? It’s not in the name it’s in the Look. And we invented them. So yeah. Cinnamon swirls..😜🤷🏻♂️🏴
@@steviesbadtv It really doesn't matter. Different places will call things by different names.
That looks so good!!
Maybe it was because we were hungry and weary of traveling but it was better than expected.
Only $275
I found worse inside the engine shroud of my riding lawn mower. The mice nested around the engine. The feces was piled on one side, the afterbirth on another corner, and the bedding on another corner. It smelled so bad!
LOL, it is an interesting situation. How do you think they got in there?
I had a 250 like that for years but it was the light brown color. I believe there was an idle screw on the right side of the carburetor
Yes! I found the idle screw on the right side of the carb. The screw is connected to a short cable with a thumb screw for easy adjustment. Great running little machine.
Yes you are correct. I found the idle screw. Such a great little machine.
