Could you address any humidity issues in the hoop house in late fall to early winter, and at what temperatures do you need to start addressing such issues again?
WoW! Yes plse. I would take that bouq.!
Really looks good in there! I've given up on ranuncs/anem.....no hoophouse and 3 yrs of failure in raised beds or in ground. I have however, picked up tulip madness... and peony fever! Also ...looking into daffs. Good Luck..z5/6 Indiana.
Zone 5a NW IA. A little jealous of your hoop house and very happy for you too!😊
Hey, neighbor!!
Love seeing all the green in there - nice work!
Thank you. Videos like this help me get through the winter. 😊
Thank you - same here! ☀️
Bouquets were so pretty! good job! My yr. was a little off . I did try Florets new plume types of celosia.. and I loved the beige colors I got... with Roseanne brown. It was kind of a mono type color bouq.,...but it gave me a different look for a flower jar @ market.
That sounds really pretty!
Have ordered Boom Boom white and Silver Years this year, so nice to see them in' real life'. Love from Ireland as always ❤
I bet you will love them!!
What a beautiful goal! Happy to found you over on IG :)
Thank you and WELCOME!
Your bouquets are stunning. I have enjoyed my amaryllis this season as well.
They are hard to beat when there’s snow on the ground!
Now that is an accomplishment. I grew up in Wisconsin and never dreamed it would be possible. Great job. My favorite flower in 2024 was anemone. I'm in love with that flower. 2025 hopefully will be the year that I can grow Lisianthus and Eucalyptus.
I love all of those! Anemones are early season for me!
I love tha squeaky tulip sound. Cannot wait for tulip season. I have just bought a chest freezer that can work as a refrigerator. Am hoping it holds my tulips. I have 2 small fridges that I've made do with for the last 2 seasons but never had enough space.
Sounds like you are ready!! 🙌
I love Cosmos as a foliage ❤
You have me dreaming summer 😄 If you haven’t tried the bright lights (Sulphur) cosmos, their leaves are completely different than most and are almost fern-like!
Wow, great job! Thank you for your video. Can you tell me what the cluster of pink flowers are at 5:34 below the white scabiosa in the middle? I don't recognize them, but they are gorgeous! Greetings from Holland!
It’s so funny you ask about those…! Those popped up where my raspberry ripple dianthus seeds were planted but they didn’t look like the others - mutant strain perhaps?? They looked most like mums to me but it was June….I only had one plant and lost track of it so I didn’t get seeds saved ☹️
@@wildbirdfarm Yes, I thought mum also only growing in the wrong month! 😆 Hope for you it comes back! Discover a new flower and become rich sound fun 🙃
Haha! It sure does!
Great accomplishment!
Do you have a video forhydroponic tulips?
Yes, I have a whole playlist! I’ll be doing more videos this year here pretty soon too. th-cam.com/play/PLPnIEWC5TSLDUqWY0Mf1bo2zQ36PFsPgl.html&si=y8rD0YcKaGI5dAeK
Mothers Day is 3 weeks before Easter so end of March in Ireland this year. It was early March last year so I had absolutely nothing to offer. Love your channel ❤
That’s a tough time of year here too!
Nooooo that's heartbreaking. Such a shame. That's like something I would do
I’m still kicking myself - I will store and label better this year!
Hi Tara, I am also in zone 5 and my favorite thing I grew from seed was snapdragons. I had snapdragons through November. It was crazy!!
That’s awesome! I left some in the ground to see if they overwinter this year. 🤞
Such beautiful flowers - 12 months is an accomplishment for sure. 💐
Congratulations
Great video. Thanks for sharing! I am going to attempt a DIY one as well. Would you mind sharing where you purchased your wiggle wire and track from? Thanks!
We got the wiggle wire and many of the other parts from Nolt’s Greenhouse Supply.
Plectranthus are perennials outdoors here in south Florida USDA zone 10b. I have a number of them but I’ve never seen ‘silver shied’ offered here :(
Oh, I am jealous of your weather in 10b! 😂. I haven’t seen plants for sale but loved the look of it so I hunted down seeds and they were easy to grow from seed last spring.
@ oh wow, I’ve never tried growing any from seed. I’ll have to order some seeds then. Thank you.
Wow! Looks amazing. I’m wishing I started a few cool season flowers last summer. I’m seed starting indoors now. We were zone 5b. They recently said we’re now zone 6a. We are still having a few cold days. Recently -7 overnight, but it was 61 during the day and 50 overnight last night. Crazy weather. My snapdragon in the open are still looking strong. This is the third year for those few. Thanks! Looking forward to more videos.
The weather has been so strange. It was 50 here the other day - I’ll take it!
So pleased to find your channel. Watching from a small flower farm in Ireland ❤
Welcome!! We will have to compare notes!
Oh wow! A new hoop house. I am happy for you! I think it looks great. I know you will use it alot. I work alone...so nothing like that for me. But...I can't wait to see all the things you do with this. By the way, my hyacinth bean vine looked awesome until a storm came through and took the whole trellis down . Still pretty..but on the ground. Merry Christmas!
Thank you! Sometimes those storms do some real damage and it’s a big bummer when you’ve been working so hard! Merry Christmas!!🎄
I enjoyed watching the hoop house come together. Looks like it was a family affair. Not that I'll ever have one, but as the seasons progress, I think it would be interesting to see how you determine what steps you to take to ensure success. (ie-do the vents above the doors need to be manually opened, is a thermostat kept hung in the house, how much weight can the plastic hold when it snows, how do you repair the plastic, etc) Continued success with your channel. Happy holidays!☃️
Thanks! I’ll definitely get into some of that as time goes on. We learned some lessons from our smaller hoophouse that we implemented here!
Nice job. Looks like a lot of work and no blueprints!
Beautiful! Thanks.
Thank you Tera This is the only kind of video like this that I have seen. Perfect timing to help with planning for next year. Beautiful photography
Thank you so much!
Lovely video. Thanks for sharing 😁❤️
Beautiful! I know that represented a lot of hard work.
Thank you!
Im in your zone in Pa! I am trying the peony style poppies for the first time. Did you seed in late winter & can i count onnthem self seeding in years to come? 😍
Yes, I threw down seed in the snow of late winter! I do think they self seed some but I always collect a couple seed heads and throw more down.
❤️
Hi Tera, I'm in zone 5 too and your flowers look beautiful. I'm going to try to grow more asters this coming year. They have some really beautiful types.
Asters are beautiful and so many colors! We have such bad leaf hoppers that I haven’t had much luck here.
Beautiful. A great way to end the season.
It's quite impressive when you put it all together like this! Well done!
Thank you!
A lovely video. I have no idea how you have managed to grow such a huge range of beautiful plants. Best wishes to you.
Thank you!
How long does glycerin preserved branches last?
Quite a while! I have 3yo ones still displayed. They are upright in a vase and out of sunlight.
@wildbirdfarm awesome! By the way, can silver dollar euc be propagated by cuttings? I always fail.
I haven’t tried. I heard it was hard to do but I had someone on here say they were successful. If mine overwinter in hoophouse I’ll try it!
I love that Queensland! I also order from Berbee. I couldn't get the Rasta tulip. I'm 2 hrs. from them in In. I also didn't get the ice cream sundae one. That's ok though. Saved me a little money! LOL! Lookin' good there.
Thanks! It was another rough tulip year from the sounds of it.
This was great. I’m diving into this because the potential for ROI is so high and no one locally has these available
That’s awesome! I agree - there’s tons of potential with them!
Beautiful! You can see a certain latex on the ripped petals on the second plant. Any udea what strain they are?
These were pink peony poppies from Baker Creek. I do save seed each year so I may have other varieties in there as well.
Also shopped my yard. Do not have a plug in on my porch tho. Loved the pot .maybe add a ornament or 2
Love the porch pot! I decorated 8 containers and my shed this year. I intended to pull back on decorating too, but found out I'm having company over the holidays so decided to go all out. I didn't have any money in decorating outside as I foraged at my son's house and used pine cones, branches, and other fillers I already had.
That’s AWESOME! It really is fun to go all out when you are having company!
🎄🎄🎄Beautiful porch pot.
Thank you!
