J.S.Bach: Prelude in G major BWV 541
มุมมอง 1.2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The Prelude and Fugue in G major (BWV 541) has been dated to the first Leipzig years, around 1725. This piece too existed in an earlier version , with a middle movement forming the third movement of a trio sonata in e minor. The prelude starts with a vertiginous descent on the manual from the top to the bottom its register, whitch then returns to its starting point to join the other voices. Thi...

Super Hauptwerk.
amazing work. i think i might have to learn how to do this since off the shelf midi units like this cost upwards of 1500 usd. grateful for the tutorial.
Amazing! I would love to build something like this for my mom, whose larger organ we just had to sell so she could move into a smaller house. How can I learn more about how exactly you built it?
how to make a DIY pedal ???
Great Demonstration. Do you use Hauptwerk lite or advanced?
How long did you work on this project?
Hi, It took me a week I think.
How do the "buttons" that trigger the notes work? What kind of signal needs to be sent from the keys down the wires that are soldered onto those parts?
The pedal keys operate with reed switches and magnets.
What software do you use for these sounds on the laptop?
Just Hauptwerk
@@8Doriene thank you
This is the theme song from the USA’s “With Heart and Voice.”
What is the name of the piece of music?
I just noticed that you might be in a different country than me. Silly presumption that we all live close to me. Thank you for the advice. You have been helpful. I will delete my other post.
How do i buy these foot pedals?
It's home made. If you have a workshop with basic tools, you can make it as well.
2:52 faux concave. Very sneaky pedalboard
It's True, but very comfortable to play on it, almost like a real concave. I think it's an old Viscount.
Beautiful performance !, and hats off for your amazing self made setup, a lot of love and dedication for all things Bach. Cheers from Santiago.
Thank you! I appreciate it!

Great project! Great sound! Congratulations!
Thank you Alex!
Simple as you say and most practical to make. What is the music that is being played.
Thanks for your comment! The first piece is Handel's march from Scipio, the second is Vivaldi's Largo from the Winter.
Great work! I wish i knew some woodwork :')
It' really not so complicated! Of course if you have good tools it would be much esasier. I encourage you to start, I'm sure you will enjoy it!
Hi! Maybe you can help me ? I bought 2 midi keyboards too, and try to connect it with computer. Keyboard 1 MIDI out - Keyboard 2 MIDI in - USB to Computer. Grand orgue app ( Hauptwerk analog) see only second keyboard, maybe you now If I make mistake? Thank you so much
Hi, maybe the 1st keyboard doesn't have midi merge function.
@@8DorieneCan I anything make to correct it? Or i only need a new keyboard? Thank you for answer
Why don't you plug both keyboards directly to the computer? I'm sure that will work.
@@8Doriene I will try it, thank you 🙏
Civet idea but would encourage poor technique footwork
Thanks for your comment!
How do you get the different register organ tones on the keyboard?
The lower keys of the piano are set as different registrations in Hauptwerk. In this piece I hit those keys to change the registrations.
Thank you so much for that video! It might be useful for me in the future!
Thank you so much!
This looks like a very good method, but it looks too complicated for me to do. I would like more detailed instructions, do you have any or know who I could get them? For the last 10 years, my pedal board has worked by taking a used, from from Goodwill, midi keyboard, building a little ledge above the back of the pedal board, and running wires from under the keys of the keyboard to under the pedals, so when I push down a pedal it pulls down the key. It's worked well but I always wished it didn't have the wires so I could have a pedal above the keyboard for adjusting the sound, etc.
The best way to make a midi pedalboard in my opinion is to use magnets and reed switches. You can see in this video how I did it with another pedalboard: th-cam.com/video/Y4bZTsvlJ2k/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=538Dorian I hope it helped! Thanks your comment.
@@8Doriene Nice, I am building a conceal right now, but using reed switches for the Pedalboard is great, thanks, God's blessing.
@@Chantsandchisels Thank you!
Excellent! Thanks for the trick.😊
Thanks for your comment!
Which organ of hauptwerk did you use to make this video?
Veendam sampleset
@@8Doriene Ok, thanks
Fantastic performance and great DIY MIDI pedal, works like a breeze. Congrats!
Thank you!
Where are the speakers?
It's a Midi pedalboard, you have to connect it to your computer.
I wish there's a tutorial how to build a pedalboard like this😞
I hope to eventually set up one of these. Nice video!
What kind of wood finish is best for these? I have an unfinished PedaMidiKit and I'm not sure what to use.
I would recommend polyurethane finish.
Agree polyurethane is hard wearing and often used on wooden floors
Hello. Please tell me where the midi keyboard sends signal, to daw or synthesizer? Thank you for your videos, they are very interesting.
It's just simply connected to the computer via USB. No other device requiered.
wow, great work!
thanks!😁
Can you tell me the name of the piece that played as background in the beginning, it sounds very calming
This is the Sonatina (Actus tragicus, BWV 106) from Bach.

well done
Thank you!
How much will this cost? Also, what's the piece's name for this music?
It costs around 100$. The piece is David Johnson's Trumpet Tune. Thanks
Thank you. You gave me the idea how to modify my own pedalboard
Thank you!
There’s clearly a great deal of hard work gone into building this pedalboard, not to mention musical talent to perform Bach’s nicely interpreted Cantata. Congratulations and thanks for sharing
Thank you, you are very kind!
What piece is this?
David Johnson - Trumpet voluntary
Beautifully played and I like the way you play the pedals with your stocking feet (the way I do.)
Thank you!
szép, tetszik ahogy szétszeded👍
Wow how to make that bass pedal and integrate to the electric keyboard ??😮

This was fantastic, what was the name of the song?
Thank you! Dávid Johnson - Trumpet tune
Wow… is that thing a diy pedal?
Yes, indeed. :)
Awsome
Thank you!
Great sound! Great ingenuity!
thank you!
Brilliant. Ideal as a practice instrument
Thank you!
How are you changing the registrations? I see you are using a stock MIDI keyboard and not a genuine organ manual. I’m asking only because I am currently trying to assemble a practice organ similar to this one, although I bought a commercially available 32 note MIDI pedalboard rather than attempting to build my own.
I just programmed the piano keys on the lower octave for registration steppers. This keys are silent in Hauptwerk anyway.
