Mailbox Summit Hike - New Trail

We hiked and summited the new trail to Mailbox. Elevation gain is around 4000ft for 10-11 miles. The last mile is the hardest part so be prepared. Recommended Gear:
The Secret Entrance to Snoqualmie Falls
มุมมอง 5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the back entrance to Snoqualmie Falls, the hike is 2 miles of paved straight trail, then .5 to a ,1 mile of muddy hills and flats. The hike is incredibly fun, but beware of mud. There were several hikers not wearing boots who had to turn around. I suggest something waterproof. Snacks we recommend: amzn.to/2XfKcNR amzn.to/3hOx0ZC amzn.to/38iq2ZO

    You need to get a permit from the Snoqualmie tribe to access this land. Otherwise you are trespassing.

    You are frigging awesome! great job! I'm looking for advice! I bought a micro squaredrop trailer "project" for my 65th birthday... I may have bit off more than I can chew! lol I live in San Diego so I have a few month b4 wheather become an issue lol the trailer has good bones but the man who started the build passed away... so the universe thought I should finish it! anyway ... I'm currently researching what is best way to seal exterior? also original builder framed and cut 1 window 26x32 in door in rear of trailer and just framed not yet cut 2 16x16 in windows in sides ideally I'd like to put a galley hatch in rear and doors on sides ? I'm currently looking for any advice or help anyone can offer 😁👍 I dont want to get out my violins ... I have some skills the reason I'm doing this is because I am shooting survivor I actually stayed so busy b4 I I retired I didnt give myself time to think bout it lol but bcuz of progression in my injuries... to eye and face I now need a way to get out and battle my PTSD in a positive way 👍😁 any advice you or your peeps can offer would be VERY APPRECIATED ❣ 5x8x5 plywood with foam insulation and balsa paneling walls ... weather proofing is #1 priority right now ... HELP!

      Thank you for the comment, I will say there is probably going to be some trial and error. We used a silicone caulk to seal everything.

    Perfect example of "use what you've got" to build something cool. I must've watched a 100 builds with people who have a full shop, expensive tools and seemingly endless budget for new materials and yall just built essentially the same thing for a fraction the cost and time

    Good work and storage ideas. I would be careful when using a nail gun when your significant other is holding opposite your aim. I once shot myself just holding a board opposite when the nail traveled on a slightly up path.

    If you did it again would you still keep the under floor area as it does make the teardrop quite tall? Could you have a removeable cut out in the floor so you could sit on the chairs "normally"? The cut out could be used for a table top if you want to eat or work on a laptop. Is it hot inside with the large window? Have you considered putting in a fan? Sorry for all the questions.

    • @AE-bp1wq
      @AE-bp1wq 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fan is on the Todo list, we love the storage area, Todo is a large sliding cabinet. The trailer sits a little higher than most, but we feel that it is worth it for the bottom area!

    Another build video about sanding, cutting, rinding and and all the dust and sparks created, with distracted dumb-ass music..... LOL! What is that slurry mess you are trying to apply to the wall..??? The releaf cuts belong on the inside of the curves, not the outside.. Try an electric blanket to heat the plexi.. Have fun..!

    I haven't seen someone leave the sides on a trailer and use them in that way. It gives a lot of opportunities, rather than being something that definitely needs to be taken away. Thanks again for sharing.

    I also wanted to say how great I think it was you guys used so much recycled material. Doing it this way shows people it can be done on a budget and there are many ways to keep that budget low and affordable. I've been watching a bunch of these videos on DIY tear drops and some of these guys are so proud of there do it yourself trailers that they only spent $10,000 on materials and I'll tell you yours is every bit as nice as theirs is. Hey I don't have a problem with how much they spent that's on them but alot of the people looking to build their first teardrop are not looking to spend the same money as it would be to just buy. Hey I know there is so much more than just money that you get out of building like pride, style, design and savings but I just think your build was more down to earth. Thank you for sharing oh and I hope you decided to put a support on the rear hatch I seen it bending and swaying a lot when you open it and it will eventually leak and possibly break not to mention I'm sure you couldn't get a good seal on it when it's latched. Thanks again for sharing.
