Assistive Technology Functional Mobility Clinic at Kapiolani Medical Center
Before and Afters of custom seating solutions by Kevin Phillips (Rehab Mobility Specialist at Experea Healthcare).
These patients vary in injuries and illnesses - from spinal cord injury (SCI) to Cerebral Palsy and much more. Their poor seating posture and lack of motor-control made it difficult to move around independently in a wheelchair. Thanks to the expertise from Kevin Phillips, Rehab Mobility Specialist at Experea Healthcare, each patient was fitted with their own custom seating and power wheelchair. The look of pure gratitude on each of the patient's faces, after having proper seating, says it all!

I think that this kind of wheelchair is perfect for her. Do they make them in cute colorful designs because if not they really should because then it would fit her personality!
he shouldn't be eating drive thru food. have you looked into the new treatment? it was developed in march. I'm not sure how expensive it is but quadriplegic people are walking again.

I am in law enforcement, and I just want to say your will to survive and thrive is an inspiration to me Kristina. Goes to show we never know when or where...... but we have got to be prepared. And you clearly were. God bless you and your family.

I had a SCI in 1988, it was at T7 & T8. My sister who is a RN stayed at the hospital with me the first weeks after my accident. I was very lucky, and was able to walk again. Thanks to my special sister who helped with my care. She had to move in with me to help care for me after my release. I spent 3 months in the Spinal Cord Unit learning to walk again. I thank God every day for my recovery. Sherry, you are one special sister.
