Pathetic excuse of a man, even a farm worker who works hard to provide for his family, pinching Pennies to make the most of what he has , develops certain skills /craftsmanship from working in his field of work. To the point where it seems like it’s “talent” compared to others. This guy isn’t preaching any wisdom, just a fool rambling on pity.

Well, dedication doesn't guarantee talent or success, sure. But talent without dedication definitely guarantees failure because you never finish anything. I've met so many talented useless people who never achieved anything. And the opposite: talentless and lame people who went far just by sheer dedication alone.

I'm glad to hear it from someone I admire, and feel exactly the same word by word...no one really chooses to grasp and be aware of certain things, so you have to do it your way, try and if there's some "success" share whatever may come with it, with people who appreciate it...

it's very difficult to establish where ends one thing and begin the other one. I don't believe that every person who succeed in the realm of art is 100 % talented. Of course a Leonardo Da Vinci, a Beethoven, a Freddie Mercury or a J. S. Bach belongs to another superior and celestial category. From here derives that even talent had a hierarchical pyramid structure. And thus, sometimes people less talented than others but with a strong determination could sometimes going further than a talented with alcohol or drug addiction problems. The X factor, luck and contacts plays a very determining role as well.

I hear what he's saying, people are so fragile and at times they quickly react to blame others for their discomfort. So to feel safe from this fragility over the likely traffic stop level of hubris one would want distance. I like his line about how after you've been F'd with enough you tend to not care what people think. That's not a truth, that's gravity. It's more like a law or axiom.

Siempre podemos hacer muchas cosas. Hace falta capacidad , trabajo y medios. Algunos tienen la capacidad y no tienen los 2 siguientes ingredientes: no llegarán muy lejos; otros, tienen menos capacidad pero trabajan incansablemente se preparan y con los pocos medios que tienen llegarán lejos. Los medios solo ayudan si tienes interés y fuerza de voluntad y constancia para conseguir resultados. Sin medios , muchos tienen que desistir o luchar mucho más y con más esfuerzo. La vida es corta, tenemos que decidir a qué queremos dedicarnos ,pero si todo se tuerce, tenemos muchas más posibilidades para salir adelante.
