Yes, a lot actually. I live near by and my best friend lives in pace. Downtown reminds me of the small towns back up north. I mean it when i say i would live there. I wish i knew about it before i bought my house lol.

I’d never purchase a home with solar panels. When it comes time to replace your roof you will spend 3X more.
That I didn’t think about. Thank you.
This is why, if people are going to lease or purchase solar, that we recommend making sure the contract includes removing and replacing the panels at ont cost in the event of a reroof. At the very least, never put solar panels on a roof that currently needs replacing. In the video, I am referring to a solar program by FPL called FPL SolarTogether.
@@LivingInPensacolaGroup I can only imagine the price of that contract. Even with all of the subsidies solar is an expensive option. It has its positives, I.e., off grid capabilities but it should not be sold under the guise that it will save you money.

I love this video. I moved to Mobile 8 years ago to Midtown which is similar to East Hill. I have never gotten over leaving Pensacola. Pensacola was my home for 46 years. I regret leaving Pensacola. Folks are closed off here. I am putting this out there for those that think Mobile is a greener pasture.

Seems you left out the homeless population is very high. And the job market is lacking. Crime is an also an issue. How are these items not a on your con list.
Homelessness has been on the rise since pandemic federal aid started running out and inflation took over. It's an unfortunate by product of the current economic climate that's happening everywhere. As for as the job market goes, it just depends on what industry you are in, but I don't think it's a secret that Pensacola doesn't offer as many opportunities in general as other larger cities. Many family-friendly neighborhoods in Pensacola are known for their safety and community spirit. Areas like East Hill, North Hill, and Cordova Park are particularly popular among families for their lower crime rates and close-knit communities. In addition, Pensacola has been actively working to improve safety across the city. Local law enforcement agencies are continually improving their strategies to reduce crime.

Veterans have good discounts at the DMV here. It costs me about $6 to renew my disabled vet plate each year and I get free parking at the airport. Vets can also get free access to Johnson beach when they sign up for the national parks pass: www.nps.gov/orgs/1207/11-8-2022-lifetime-pass.htm It's great if you don't want to pay the tolls to go to Pensacola beach

For all the tourists: if you go to fort Pickens and pay the $25 entrance fee, it is good for 7 days. You can save your receipt and get into opal beach National seashore free for your stay. Also the National parks service offers a free lifetime National park pass to active duty, retired, veteran military.

Nope Ill stay in Colorado..Florida too flat, people to boring, hurricanes, gators etc...If I need the beach, we have the Great Sand Dunes in Southern Colorado with gorgeous mountains and in metro Denver we have Lookout Mt with Buffalo Bills Grave and in Golden we have NORTH AND SOUTH TABLE MTS with the Colorado Railroad Museum ...we have Reservoirs for fishing...great restaurants....Elk and Buffalo better than seafood...parties...Florida wimpy...Telluride Bluegrass, RED ROCKS best Outdoor Ampitheater and Dakota/Dinosaur ridge with the side trail to dino footprints and we can bring dogs if you pick up after them
And mountain coasters...and Rocky Mtn National Park
