TMX awning installation for Pajero sport 2020 QF on Prorack S16 with K683 fitting kit. UPDATE: The Eye bolts are optional. I installed them for my S-Hook ratchet straps.
I just got a Stodard garage door system installed and I am looking to do exactly the same as what you have done. Can you please post the ebay link to the sonoff switch that you have used. I dont want to buy something which might not work
What is the big hook for? It is not fixed to the L bracket
I want to avoid any drilling so i just bought a prorack kit for the awning..from supercheap
Thank you for saving my life of stress trying to get these racks sorted 🙏
thanks for the video - can you install an awning on those bars? it looks like they have end caps on the actual bars (not the lockable cover on the base). Can you just remove those end caps or do they fold out of the way?
Thank you
Thanks for the video instructions, made it so easy for me to do. Didn’t bother with the confusing written manual. Well done
The mushroom infill in the top of the bar should never be removed, those racks will now be very noisy. You should depress the rubber infill and slide the channel nuts over the top of it, but it must stay in
Dude thank you so much for these instructions, the manual was the worse, would’ve been stuck there for ages!! Thank you!
Thank you so much
Champion! Really helped
Seriously this is a life saver dude the instructions they came with are so shit
Brilliant. Thank you. As with the previous comment the written instructions are a nightmare so seeing the process visually makes it so much easier. Nice work, well done.
...and I have just fitted it without any issues. The only thing that took any time was accurately aligning it so the rails were exactly central relative to the roof. Aside from that very straightforward thanks to your video.
you killed the video with the shocking music
Lol
Thanks mate good job 👏
Excellent video mate very helpful
Legend!
Great video, the Prorack instructions are beyond terrible. Perhaps a caption to remind users to install the washers 😉.
As mentioned by other members, thanks for your video it was very helpful in showing how to install it in place, the angle helped me understand the final piece to installing it.
Where did you bought you eye bolt??
You are a legend for making this video. Prorack instructions are useless and didn’t provide instructions for the HD model. Thank you!
Thanks for the vid. Dont need 4 bolts per bracket for the awning. Cut down the bracket to 2 bolt holes, raise the bracket with washers so it can clear the cross bars end cap and they can remain in place
I just put racks on my eclipse cross, your video was a lifesaver!
Hi IT Adventure, thanks for sharing the video. Great stuff. We do take all feedback on board regarding instructions and work to make it easier to follow hence us also having our own official fit video. For those who may need some additional support to the paper instructions, most fitting kits do include a QR code to our fit video also which steps you through the process also. Here's the link for quick reference th-cam.com/video/Z9jsg_oNbi8/w-d-xo.html Again, thanks IT Adventure for sharing your specific video for the Pajero. Great work!
Thanks for adding this video. You should get commission from prorack- their instructions are rubbish!
WOW - thanks so much for posting these instructions. The instructions provided by Prorack were hopeless, impossible to follow. You made it easy for me & delighted with the end result. As someone said, You're a legend !!
Second that. Those black and white drawings and eyes so freaky
Thank you, saved me so much time, reading pictorial pictures.
Great vid, made my job much easier thank you👍
Thank you so much for the video. Two comments : would have been much much better with spoken commentary. Also, wish you had edited and added comments about the washers needing to be added. Otherwise, amazing.
Normally prefer a bit of narrative, but your vid and text was straight to the point 👉 thanks!
Perfect video. Thank you.
Cheers mate!!! Instructions were rubbish. 👍
Which way is the bar facing the front? Thinner or thicker one? Looks like thicker part.. is it correct?
Hi Aaron, the bars are shaped like birds wings or a plane wing. Thicker part to the front so the wind swooshes around it. Another way to tell is locks to the front. Enjoy the adventures.
Brilliant. Saved me a heap of time! Thanks a million. :)
Hi just want to ask the reason why you made this kind of project? is it because the smart garage door opener (specifically Meross) wont work? We actually have the same garage door and im thinking converting it to be "smart". not sure if i should do this one or go with Meross.
I made this project that I can remotely control my garage door through internet. Sometimes I want to be able to do it while away from home. Like leaving items in the garage and to be picked up later by a friend. I don't need to wait for the person to arrive and just contact me and I will open the garage door and close it after.
Thank you this was very helpful. Maybe a silly question, but what is the eye bolt for?
Same question. Maybe I'm just slow but that's where I got lost in the process. Was it the locking bolt for the bracket?
@@jollibee000 The eye bolt I installed for my ratchet straps s-hook. Apologies, I did not mention about it in the video.
Absolutely brilliant! Thank you for making this as easy as possible for us!
great clear instructions, made it easy , thankyou
would have been much better with spoken words instead of music? Got so far then you lost me ?? Who buys most of this stuff, us old guys who just need a bit of help!!
Hey mate, I got a homelink on my car but cannot program the homelink with controller. I also tried a universal remote but failed again. Does this system accept other remote?
Sorry for the late reply. I haven't tried other type of controller.
@@itadventure5905 It's okay. I am just confused about programming the machine with other remotes. It seems impossible to copy the remote myself.
How heavy is your prorack roof rack unit in total approximately?
I would estimate about 8 to 10 Kg. I have a roof tray which is about 10 KG. Roof load capacity is 70Kg-ish on the PS. I can load about 50Kg of stuff overall.
Nice. Can you please share the diagram?
Hi Jhelyn. I will add some diagram / photos in the next few days and paste on here. Basically, open the remote back plate and solder the leads to simulate the toggle button.

What did you end up doing with the rubber seal you slide out of the Prorack?
Hi Trish. I just put it aside until I need them back on.
You can cut them to size and slide back in!
Yes you trim them down to size or there is horrendous wind noise from the cross bars
You don’t need to take them out.
I have same question - how did you connect the remote with Sonoff? Is your Stoddart remote a battery powered one?
Hi Mohammad. You just need to open the remote back plate and solder the leads to simulate the toggle button.

You sir are my hero!
Glad I was able to help with my video!. Awesome stuff.
Excellent work, Can you share a detailed wiring video or diagram, how the remote is actually connected to Sonoff
Yes, sure. Alot of people requesting it. Will put some videos in next few days.

Thank you made things easier , the instructions where crap
Awesome! Glad you liked the video.
Thank you!!! Made it so much easier following your video!
You are welcome! Glad it helped.
Awesome vid! Did you have links to the Rola drop bolts you used?
Can find on Ebay easy enough.
