As a fan, I hate the Delaware restart

The Dale Earnhardt of Dirt Late Model racing.

My first experience with seeing Bloomquist race was in Hagerstown, MD in the summer of 03 or 04 i believe, a good friend of mine actually introduced me to him and he was so dam cool, he stood there and talked to me for about 5 minutes like we were best friends, he was such an awesome guy and i was a huge fan of his from that point on. I seen Scott race one more time at Hagerstown during the Octoberfest 3 day event, then i seen him a few more times at Port Royal, PA and loved watching that guy drive. Scott Bloomquist will forever a legend in the dirt track world, and he will be missed. RIP BLOOMER!!!

Please will one of you reach out to his wife I'm really worried about her just make sure she is OK.i raced a few times with Scott I've known him for decades we would hang out and just talk shop after race for hours usually last to leave last time we talked he said if I can do it so can you he rememberEd me one night was at bulls gap spectatin and me my girl walk up after race I say remember me at ocala in the mud raining I passed you on last lap the look he gave me I thought he was gonna give me a whooping .but then he looked at his wife turned back said yea your that shit number 70 cause me to lose championship that night .only reason I had any chance was it was raining and track was muddy .we talked for a while he gave my girl a hoodie and signed her big pregnant belly .he asked me to go to Tazewell with him next night I regret not going

Heard alot about him must been a good driver, some people died young,in life for thier actions and the way use thier speech. Some have a death wish, they can't live without it.

I remember my first World 100. This man would would fly there! Its not going to be the same at that track anymore. RIP Bloomer.

I met Scott in 88 at the World 100 we were trying ta make the show Scott was there for the first time. We got to talking both the same age we hit it off pretty good. Scott was a diamond in the rough an awesome driver Scott was an icon alot of people didn't like him for some reason. I know he'd have been a Helluva crewchief for a nice dirt car team. Scott use to come out to Australia for the super sedan Australia v USA Watching my dad race against Scott in some of those tests and getting to meet him was some of my favourite moments in speedway rip Scott

I grew up watching him race around my area here in East Tennessee. Back when Kingsport Speedway was dirt and of course Volunteer Speedway "the gap". If u liked him or not he could wheel a late model like no other. R.I.P Black Sunshine! Give'em hell up there!

I got instant memories of seeing and getting to meet him with my dad. So emotional losing someone then one of their favorite racers passed. Race in Paradise Scott. BLACK SUNSHINE!

I'm glad y'all took the time to do this and other than the 89 times he won at the World 100 , I see Joseph and Scott getting after it and Joseph holding him off for the win. That's going to be a very personal memory for Joseph. So we've had Earnhardt, Ayrton Senna, AJ Foyt all dominate their racing, But nobody even comes close to the domination Scott laid on the Dirt Late Models. He and Kinser are the kings of dirt and Scott will remain the GOAT 🐐 as I don't see anyone touching what he did. RIP #0 and try not to whip em' too bad at that big track up above!!!!

From over the pond in the UK I am genuinely gutted and upset, thankfully I have had the opportunity to watch Scott race on one of my trips to Florida, prayers to Scott’s family, Godspeed Scott, no weak links!

Intentional most likely, he was struggling with his health and not winning and he could not handle it anymore. Just my opinion. Sad day for sure.

Man it's been a rough year for dirt track racing. First Barefoot Bob McCreadie and now Bloomquist. Growing up I watched Bob McCreadie and Tim at Land of Legends. I had never seen a Dirt Late Model Race until I think about 2004. The first time I saw one at I-55 Bloomquist won pretty handily. With him gone it's one of those moments where I think people will think of Dirt Late Model racing almost the same way when Earnhardt passed with NASCAR. With that too I have to say I hope Steve Kinser is in good health. I wouldn't want to see all the personal legends of the sport pass in the same year. Also just gonna point out that Bloomer's last podium finish according to MRP was 2nd at All Tech the night Joseph won. The man still had that magic in him even as he was walking out the door. I'm really gonna miss him. Rest in peace Scott.

I remember being at West Virginia motor speedway at Mineral Wells he had got in a wreck with the southern gentleman Freddie Smith and Scott went to the back with Freddie and he didn't have to go back there but Scott thought that much of Freddie Smith and watch those come towards the front from the back. Scott always put a rope around his car.

IM IN SHOCK TOO HA WILL BE MISSED

I met and talked with Scott one time in the early 2000s. A good friend of mine was crew on Chris Maden, a real good shock man, and we were walking the track and he pulled up on a golf cart. We BS'd for a few moments and he went back to his hauler. I was literally thinking about him yesterday, on how he basically ran a TShirt business to fund a racing empire. I'm just now starting to try and emulate that business model with my now 18 yr old son, so many years later. He had such a big impact on so many people, in the way he innovated, and the way he changed the game. He was the first dirt racer that I ever remembered ever gracing the cover of car and driver magazine. He will be missed.

What shock to hear this when I got home from work this morning. Got to see him race at our local track, Rocky Hill Speedway, here in Porterville, Ca. November 11, 1981. R.I.P Scott
