Impact(Ed) International has produced this wonderful film to demonstrate the impact of its Nawiri Mentorship Accelerator Programme (N-MAP) in Kajiado and Wajir Counties in Kenya.
Implemented in collaboration with the Kenyan Ministry of Education with funding from the Global Innovation Fund, this initiative has focused on enhancing the agency and well-being of school-aged children, particularly girls, and the community support needed to facilitate this.
The project evaluation has yielded promising results. It demonstrated substantial improvements in self-efficacy and educational aspirations among participants, enhanced mentorship skills among educators, and increased parental and community support for education. These findings pave the way for a significant scale-up across the region.
Impact(Ed) International plans to integrate this initiative within governmental frameworks to ensure sustainability and greater public policy alignment. The scale-up strategy includes rigorous training for school and community leaders, innovative media to reinforce key messages, and strategic collaborations to foster an enabling environment for mentorship programmes.
