This is my favourite ace combat and this mission sunk it as to why.

14 years ago, there was a war...

And with that, the war between Osea and Yuktobania is over. Both countries are now at peace, the Ofnir and Grabacr Squadrons are both destroyed, the SOLG is blown to smithereens and the Grey Men are in shambles. May the spirit of Razgriz shine in the blue sky forever.

Seeing the Osean and Yuktobanian forces fight together against the Grey Men is a wonderful sight.

This is truly the most chaotic battle of the entire war, with Oseans, Yuktobanians and the Kestrel fleet duking it out with one another. Seeing all those Yuktobanian ships defect while being fired upon by their own comrades and the rogue Osean fleet truly made this mission a desperate gamble.

"I'm relying on you! I can't dogfight in a car." No, I'm guessing Bartlett could actually do just that. He's just holding back so everyone else has has something to do.

It feels nice to finally see Captain Bartlett again. Steve Blum's performance is 100% perfection.

And no one has ever built another Arkbird since it was destroyed, so Nagase's faith seems misplaced there.

Ah yes. Canyon flights. A classic staple of Ace Combat lore.

Seeing the Belkan planes fly in sync makes them really different from the Yuktobanian ones.

I love the Razgriz colors. Definitely an eye-catcher.

Mad respect to Captain Andersen for defying his superiors to save the Wardogs.

One of my favorite games in the series.

The worst ace combat. Thankfully after this pathetic childish experience we got the best, The Belkan War (and ac3 japanese of course)

R.I.P. Chopper. This was definitely the moment the game fully embraced its dark nature.

Time restrictions were so damn annoying when it was my first/second play through. I was like “Why the fuck do I only have 15 minutes to shoot down both fucking platforms AND the fleet?” Now it’s more like “Why the fuck do I have 6 minutes left over? What do I do now?”

What a masterful way of conserving your ammunition. Seeing the Yuktobanian troops and pilots becoming increasingly frantic over the Wardogs in this mission is a really satisfying change of pace.

In the end, Nagase's faith was rewarded.

You can't blame Nagase for being worried about Captain Bartlett. Everything she learned about flying, she learned from him.

You missed a misson failure on mission 7 after the mission update if you fly south and don't destroy enough drones you will get a mission failure for not protecting your forces.. and also you have two ways to complete the mission on misson 7, if you fly north the drones will fallow you and if you destroy a few drones and wait about 10 minutes you will get a mission accomplished once your forces retreat or you can defeat all the drones and get a mission accomplished

This was the moment the Wardogs became feared by Yuktobania and the Grey Men.

It just occurred to me now that AC5 released 20 years ago. I just started playing AC4 again for the first time in at least 10 years with an emulator on my PC.

This is a crazy mission. Blowing up ammo dumps while missiles are fired at you from every which direction is a nail-biting experience.

I really hate the Grabacr guys. The attack on the engineering college was the biggest hint of the Grey Men playing both sides of the war.

Having to exhaust all your ammo doing this mission is insane.

The joy of rescuing Harling, only for the Grabacr Squadron to shatter it completely. This mission is so bittersweet.

Wait to you see the spaghetti code on the F-15E in war Thunder.

Now that’s a very tight squeeze.

When you do Journey Home can you fly totally outta formation so we can see the angry dialogue?

Why 6 is better than 7

The Scinfaxi was a true monster of a submarine.

That was a true nail biter of a mission. Engaging planes and tanks while the B-2s launch cruise missiles at the mass driver is insane, even for the Wardogs.
